LAHDC Recruitment 2023 announced for Teacher posts in various disciplines. The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council(LAHDC), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the district cadre post. There is a total of 142 vacancies to be filled for these positions. Candidates who completed B.Sc/B. Ed from a recognized institute can apply for these positions. Detailed Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
Teacher:
- Candidates should possess graduation in any discipline from any recognized University with, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and a Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Science Teacher (Science/Math):
- Graduation with Physics/Chemistry/Botany/ Zoology/Math as one of the subjects in graduation, from any recognized University with, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Language Teacher (Bhoti):
- Graduation with Bhoti as one of the subjects in graduation, from any recognized University with, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Language Teacher (Urdu):
- Graduation with Urdu as one of the subjects in graduation, from any recognized University with, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Language Teacher (Hindi):
- Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects in graduation, from any recognized University with, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Special Education Teacher:
- Graduation from any recognized University with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Special Education/Diploma in Special Education)Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2023): 18 to 42 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/EWS – Upto 45 years
- PwD – Upto 44 years
- ESM – 3 years after deduction of the actual military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date for receipt of application from the candidates.
- Persons already in government service (in case not covered under other categories e.g.SC/ ST/PwD etc) – up to 42 years.

Selection Process for LAHDC Recruitment 2023:
- The selection process will be based on a written examination. There will be OMR based written examination consisting of objective type multiple choice questions of 1 hour & 30 Minutes(2 hours for candidates eligible for scribes) exam duration is as follows:

- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks (out of a maximum of 1 mark per question) for each wrong answer. The medium for examination will be English. Based on the marks scored in the OMR-Based Written Examination, candidates will be shortlisted.
- Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the OMR Based Examination in the following ratio: In the ratio of 1:20, for up to 5 vacancies for any category of posts & In the ratio of 1:10, for more than 5 vacancies for any category of posts, subject to minimum 100, provided they secure the minimum qualifying marks in the examination.
Note: The date of examination will be published on the website later. The date, time & venue of the examination will be given on admit card. The admit cards will be available on our website. Candidates must print the admit card along with a Valid original photo Id and carry it for appearing in examinations.
