Kolkata Port Trust Recruitment 2023 – Kolkata Port Trust invites job applications for the Junior Engineer (Civil) post under the Civil Engineering Department of Kolkata Dock System on a contractual basis for two years. There are 08 vacancies available for this post. Candidates who completed a B.E/B. Tech/Diploma with required work experience is eligible to apply for this job. Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Junior Engineer:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum three (03) years of working experience in Civil Engineering works, preferably in a Govt. Department/Semi-Government Department/ Government undertaking/ Large private sector organization involved in civil construction.
- Desirable: Candidates with advanced qualifications in B.E/B. Tech (Civil) may be preferred. ii. Site execution work or design or Project Monitoring in Civil Engineering Works.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare in consultation with concerned departmental officers & job checking estimates, preparation of bills of quantities, checking measurement of works.
- Preparation of bills for works, maintaining labour policies and quality control in works in different areas under the jurisdiction of SMP, Kolkata (Kolkata Dock System)
- Work full time for 6 days in a week and will normally be entitled to a weekly day off on Sunday.
- For operational purposes, you may be required to work in shifting or rotation, i.e., Morning, Afternoon and Night, as per requirement. You may also be required to work general shift duty if the situation so warrants.
- Preparation of Estimate Civil work/road/bridge/Riverbank work.
Note: The post is on a contractual basis for a period of two years.
