Kolkata Metro Rail Recruitment 2024: Kolkata Metro Rail has announced notification for apprenticeship posts in various disciplines. There is a total of about 129 vacancies available in the Kolkata metro vacancy. Candidates with the ITI/12th qualification can apply for the Kolkata metro vacancy job. Detailed Eligibility of jobs in Kolkata metro:
Educational Qualification:
Apprenticeship: Matriculation (matriculate or class in 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks on average excluding optional/additional subjects and having an I.T.I. certificate affiliated to NCVT compulsory in relevant trade.
Age Limit ( As of 01 January 2024 ): The candidates should have a minimum age of 15 and within 24 years.
Age Relaxation :
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years in the case of OBC candidates.
- For PWD: The upper age limit is relaxed by ten years for UR/SC & ST, 15 years, and 13 years for OBC.
- The upper age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in defence forces plus a maximum of 03 years up to 40 years provided they have put in a minimum of six months of service at a stretch.
Stipend: Stipend will be paid as per extant Rules.

Selection Process:
- The selection process is based on merit.
- Engagement of Act Apprentices will be done only based on marks obtained in the Matriculation examination or 10th Class in the 10+2 Examination System. Minimum marks eligibility shall be kept at 50% in aggregate, and having an ITI pass certificate is compulsory.
- No extra weight shall be granted to candidates with higher education.
- Candidates, equal to 1.25 times the number of Act apprentice slots, shall be called to verify original testimonials and their physical fitness.
- A final merit list will be prepared equal to the number of slots in the descending order of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the Matriculate/10th Class in the 10+2 examination system.
- Candidates finally enlisted should be engaged subject to being found fit in appropriate medical examination by Railways as applicable.

- No postal order is required for SC/ST, PHP/Women/Minorities & Economically backward candidates as per extant rule.
