About Kalakshetra Foundation: Kalakshetra, as the name suggests, is a centre for artistic endeavour. Founded in 1936 by the vibrant visionary Rukmini Devi Arundale, the Institution stands testimony to her dream of creating a space where the essence of Indian thought would find expression through artistic education. An institution she established with the vision “of imparting to the young the true spirit of Art, devoid of vulgarity and commercialism.” Spread over almost 100 acres by the seashore in Chennai, the Kalakshetra Foundation, as it is known today, is a vital centre for the study and performance of fine arts.

Detailed Eligibility:
Education Qualification:
- PGT ( English/Hindi):
- Master’s degree in the concerned subject with B.Ed.
- Desirable: 3 Years of teaching experience for classes XI and XII.
- TGT (English/Social Science):
- Degree in respective subject with B.Ed.
- Desirable: Post-Graduation in the relevant subject. 3 years of teaching experience. Ability to handle IX and X standards.
- SGT (Maths/Science/Computer Science):
- Degree in respective subject with B.Ed.
- Desirable: 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject.
- Montessori Teacher:
- Any degree with a valid Montessori Diploma (AMI/IMTC).
- Desirable: 3 years of Teaching experience in Montessori School.
- Office Staff:
- Any degree with working knowledge of MS Office and good communication skills.
- Desirable: 2 years experience
Note: The posts are purely on a contract basis.
Salary: (to be determined based on performance/length of experience)
- PGT ( English/Hindi): Rs. 25,000 – 34000/- per month
- TGT (English/Social Science): Rs. 22,000 – 28000/- per month
- SGT (Maths/Science/Computer Science): Rs. 19,000 – 26000/- per month
- Montessori Teacher: Rs. 19,000 – 22000/- per month.
- Office Staff: Rs. 20,000 – 25000/- per month.
