JK High Court Recruitment 2021 – Jammu & Kashmir High Court invites online application form from the eligible candidates for the post of Readers for 04 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of LLB are eligible to apply for this job. The selection process is based on the written test and interview. Eligible candidates can apply through online on or before 25 May 2021. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir was established in the year 1928. In 1927 a new constitution was signed an agreement by the ruler of the state and instead of law members, a ministry in the judicial department was created. The High Court was invested with powers of superintendence and control over the Courts and District judiciary. Both Jammu and Srinagar Wings of the High Court function throughout the year.

Educational Qualification:

Law Graduate (Professional) from any recognized University established by Law in India and recognized as such by Bar council of India.

Age limit (As on 01.01.2021):

Not below 18 years for General
Not above 40 years in the case of Open Merit.
Not above 43 years in case of SC/ST/RBA/ALC & IB/OSC/EWS/PSP candidates
Not above 42 years in the case of Physically Challenged candidates
Not above 48 years in the case of Ex-servicemen

JK High Court Recruitment Selection Process:

By direct recruitment on the basis of a written and viva-voce test as per the criteria syllabus.
The criteria for making selection to the posts of Readers in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir under 75% direct recruitment quota shall be as follows:
Written Test: There shall be an objective type written test comprising of 85 questions, each question carrying one mark. The duration of the written test shall be of 90 minutes. The written test shall comprise questions on the following subjects:- Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 – 10 questions; Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 – 10 questions; J&K High Court Rules, 1999 – 03 questions;
Writ Proceeding Rules, 1997 – 04 questions; Letters Patent Rules – 03 questions; Civil & Criminal Rules for Guidance of Subordinate Courts – 05 questions; The Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 – 10 questions;
The Limitation Act, 1963 – 10 questions; The Constitution of India – 10 questions; The 3&K Reorganization Act, 2019 – 10 questions; General Knowledge/Current Affairs – 10 questions;
Interview/Viva-Voce: There shall be viva-voce of 15 marks. The candidates will be called for interview/viva-voce on merit on the basis of their performance in the written examination in the ratio of 1:5.

Educational Qualification:
