Nursing Officer:

  • Degree OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Registered as Nurse and Midwife under Indian Nursing council Act 1947/ any State Nursing Council.

Lower Division Clerk:

  • 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or University.
  • A Typing speed of 30 w.p.m in English or 25 w.p.m in Hindi on Manual Typewriter (OR)
  • A Typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Age limit(As on 18.05.2018):

  • Nursing Officer: 18 to 35 years
  • Lower Division Clerk: 18 to 30 years

Relaxations in upper age limit:

  • SC/ST candidates – 5 years
  • OBC candidates – 3 years
  • PwD candidates – 10 years

JIPMER Recruitment 2018 Selection Process:

  • Nursing Officer: Written Test (Computer Based Test) only
  • Lower Division Clerk Written Test (Computer Based Test) & Skill Test (Qualifying in nature)

Written Examination:

  • Written (Computer Based Test) Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only.
  • The duration of the written examination shall be 1 1⁄2 hours (90 minutes).
  • The Written examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium ONLY.
  • The Written Examination is common to all and consists of 100 single best response type MCQs having four alternatives.
  • Each answer with correct response shall be awarded four marks.
  • Negative mark ie. One (1) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
