About Indian Institute of Packaging: Indian Institute of Packaging was set up in 1966 by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India with the specific objective of improving the packaging standards in the country. There are permanent campuses of the institute in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The Institute is an autonomous body working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce. It offers 2 years Postgraduate diploma in the packaging in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. It also offers packaging testing facilities and consultation for packaging development.

Detailed Eligibility:
GAIL Funded Project Title: “Single Polymer Composites on contract basis at IIP Mumbai”.
Educational Qualification:
Research Associate:
- Ph.D. in Packaging/Polymer Technology/Mechanical Engineering/Design/Material Science.
- Desirable: Training/Hands on experience in Polymer Processing, Testing & Characterization (GCMS,
HPLC, DSC, XRD, FTIR, etc.). - Published research papers/patents.
- Preference would be given to experienced candidates based on skills and knowledge acquired and demonstration of the same during the interview.
Product Designer:
- Masters in Designing (M.Des.) – Product Design.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Product design.
- Preference would be given to experienced candidates based on skills and knowledge acquired and demonstration of the same during the interview.
Age Limit ( As on 17 April 2023 ):
- Research Associate: 40 years for men and 45 years for women
- Product Designer: 40 years
Salary:
- Research Associate: Rs 47,000/-
- Product Designer: Rs 50,000/-
Selection Process:
- The selection process includes Interview.
