IIT Ropar:
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is a technical university located in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. It is one of the eight newer Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 to expand the reach and enhance the quality of technical education in the country. IIT Ropar was established by MHRD in 2008. The classes for the academic session 2008–2009 were held at IIT Delhi. The Institute started functioning from its transit campus in Rupnagar in August 2009.

Detailed Eligibility – IIT Ropar Vacancy:
Educational Qualification:
Project title: “Seismic Design Provisions to Incorporate Amplification in Force Demands on Acceleration-Sensitive Secondary Systems Due to Building Irregularities”
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering/Earthquake Engineering or Equivalent from a recognized institute and with an exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (or 70% marks) + good GATE score.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from a recognized institute and with an exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (or 70% marks) + good GATE score.
Desirable Qualification:
- Hands on experience of structural/building analysis and design (Proof: Portfolio and/or experience certificate).
- Exposure to Finite Element Modelling and Coding including knowledge on OPNSEES and Python.
Nature of Work: The JRF will be assisting PI in various project related work, such as: Collection of field details, Finite element modelling and analysis of buildings, Preparation of technical reports, any other project related activities, etc.
Duration: The position is purely temporary and it is initially for 6 Months and extendable up to a maximum of 36 Months or project closure date, whichever is earlier, upon satisfactory performance after periodic review

Senior Research Fellow:
- Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences with two years of research experience in Microbiology/Immunology/Molecular Biology/Gut microbiome/Bioinformatics.
- The candidate should have a valid UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/GPAT/DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/MHRD score.
Duration: The selected candidate will be initially appointed for six months.
Project Duration: 3 Years
Age Limit (As on 30 April 2024):
- Senior Research Fellow: 35 years and above
Salary:
- Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 35,000 + HRA per month (consolidated).
