Duration: 1 year or up to project completion date (project completion period three years)
Job description: Preliminary assessment based on the secondary data available from government sites and reports, visits to potential sites, and coordination and compilation with agencies with details of canals and rivers.
Note: Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience

- PhD in Engineering [or]
- PhD in Mathematics/Operations Research (with 2-year experience in optimization or operations research after PhD) [or]
- M. Tech in Engineering with three years of experience in optimization, power systems, or hydropower engineering. [or]
- B. Tech in Engineering with six years of experience in optimization, power systems, or hydropower engineering.
- Desirable:
- Applied optimization, including formulation of problems and their solution using software such as Matlab, GAMS, and others.
Duration: Nine months or up to the project completion date.
Job description: To develop an optimization tool, participate in meetings, including travel to different offices and hydropower plants in the country and prepare research articles and reports.
