IIT Kharagpur Recruitment 2023: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has announced notification for Junior Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Executive Engineer/Executive Engineer posts. There are 17 vacancies available for the job. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech are eligible to apply for the job. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on or before 20 December 2023. The detailed eligibility and selection process are explained below.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Senior Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical):
- First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years experience in the execution/ supervision/ maintenance of large Civil/ Waterworks/ Sanitary works as the case may be of which atleast 2 years as Executive Engineer in Level 11 of Pay Matrix 267700-208700/- (Pre-revised: PB-3, Grade Pay of 26600/-) or equivalent.
Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical/RAC):
- First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in relevant branch of Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering) as the case may be, with at least 6 years experience in the execution/supervision/ maintenance of large Civil/ Waterworks/ Sanitary works/ Electrical/RAC as the case may be of which atleast 3 years as Engineer in Level 10 of Pay Matrix 256100-177500/-(Pre-revised: PB-3, GP of 25400/-) or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Electrical: Experience in design, estimation tendering & executive of new projects and maintenance works of residential/academic building electrical installations, 33/11 KV power distribution system, lifts, DG sets, Fire Fighting System, water/sewerage pumping system, SCADA, solar power systems, knowledge of CPWD norms, energy audit & Management etc.
- RAC: Experience in design, estimation tendering & executive of new projects and maintenance works related to air conditioning of R&D/Academic/Hostel buildings by central chillers/VRF-AC/Unitary AC, Heat recovery system, HVAC or super speciality hospitals, BMS kitchen ventilation etc.
- Civil: Experience in the field of planning, structural design and/or works monitoring of buildings and institutional infrastructure including estimation, budgeting, tendering, exposure to use of MIS.
Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/ Tel/RAC/CWISS/HORT/ELV):
- Engineer (Civil): First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years professional experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of large Civil Works as Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent grade,
- Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical): First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ professional , experience in relevant field of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in the execution/supervision/ maintenance of large Electrical/Mechanical Works as Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent grade in reputed organization. Experience in high tension and low tension lines, electrical maintenance planning, etc.
- Engineer (Tel): First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent Telecom/Electronics/Radio/Computer/Electrical/Information Technology/Instrumentation Engineering with at least 3 years’ professional experience in the execution/supervision/ maintenance of large Telephone Works as Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent grade in reputed organization.
- Engineer (Horticulture): First class B.E./ B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Agriculture Engineering with at least 3 years professional experience in horticulture related works/landscaping, etc.
- Engineer (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning): First class B.E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ professional experience in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning maintenance/Testing/Industry/plant/etc.
- Engineer (CWISS): First class B. E./B. Tech Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ professional experience in Mechanical workshop etc.
- Engineer (ELV): First Class B.E. /B.Tech degree of equivalent in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation Engineering with atleast 3 years professional experience in Design, Estimation, Tendering, Execution of new projects & maintenance works related to CCTV/BMS/IBMS/Access Control System/Security Control System/ Super-speciality Hospital Automation System/Audio Visual Systems of auditorium & class rooms/ Utility Automation/SCA DA etc.
Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/ Mechanical/Tel/RAC/CWISS/HORT/ ELV):
- Bachelor of Engineering/Architecture or equivalent in appropriate field with 2 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Engineering/Architecture of three years duration in appropriate fields with 3 years of relevant experience
- Valid supervisory license/permit issued by the Chief Electrical Inspectors in case of Electric Works or knowledge of Computer applications, experience in Design & Estimation, Construction & Maintenance of buildings, etc. in case of Civil Works, Architecture and Mechanical Works.
Age Limit(As on 20 December 2023):
- Senior Executive Engineer: Preferably below 50 years.
- Executive Engineer: Preferably below 40 years
- Engineer: Preferably below 35 years.
- Junior Engineer: Preferably below 30 years.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process of IIT Kharagpur Recruitment:
- The selection process will be based on Test/Interview
- The schedule for Test/Interview will be e-mailed in due course to the candidates in their registered e-mail
