IIOPR Recruitment 2023 – ICAR-Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research is going to conduct the recruitment for the post of Senior Research Fellow – (02)/ Young Professional-I – (03) on a contract basis under variour project. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/ B. Tech/ B. Com/ BBA/ BBS/ MBA/ B. Sc/ M. Sc/ MCA/ Diploma are eligible to apply for this job. The selection process is based on the Interview/ written test. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in-interview from 9 – 19 June 2023. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.
About IIOPR: Research on Oil Palm under irrigated conditions is practically a new start and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research established the National Research Centre for Oil Palm ( later renamed as Directorate of Oil Palm Research) at Pedavegi in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on February 19,1995. In November 2014, the institute was upgraded as Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research (IIOPR) to cater to oil palm research requirements across the country. IIOPR serves as a centre for conducting and coordinating research on all aspects of oil palm conservation, improvement, production, protection, post-harvest technology and transfer of technology.

Educational Qualification:
Young Professional: Institute Funded Project
- Essential:
- B.com/BBA/BBS (with minimum 60% marks) from a recognized University.
- Working knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms and computer skills(MS word, Excel, Power Point and Tally etc.)
- Desirable:
- Working knowledge on Public Finance Management System (PFMS)/Govt.
- e-Marketing (GeM) including trouble shooting of all operational issues using digital signatures.
- MBA (Fin.) from a recognized university.
- Candidate having an experience of at least 3 years in Audit and \Accounts related works.
- Duration: one year as per the requirements of the institute.
Young Professional: Institute Funded Project
- Essential: B. Tech/ B.E./ Graduate with specialization in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- Desirable:
- Post graduate in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology.
- Experience in programming using open source software in development of intranet/web applications with database connectivity and communication.
- Experience in designing websites, updating contents and hosting of mobile apps of the apps in Play Store.
- Duration: one year as per the requirements of the institute.
Young Professional: Evaluation of Poly 4 a naturally occurring fertilizer as a substitute for potassium and magnesium in oil palm plantations
- Essential: BSc (BZ0)//B. Sc (MPC)/Diploma (Agriculture/Horticulture).
- Desirable: Working experience in oil palm field trial management, irrigation management, collection of biometric ‘observations, Soil and leaf nutrient analysis, data compilation.
- Duration: Up to 31st March 2024 or co-terminus with the project.
Senior Research Fellow: Evaluation of Poly 4 a naturally occurring fertilizer as a substitute for potassium and magnesium in oil palm plantations
- Essential: M.sc in Agriculture (Agronomy/Soil Science) _/Horticulture (with 4 years bachelor’s (B.Sc. (Agri./Hort.) degree and 2 years Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture).
- Desirable: Experience in oil palm field experiments, biometric and yield ‘observations, working knowledge on soil and leaf nutrient analysis, statistical analysis of data
- Duration: Up to 31st March 2024 or co-terminus with the project.
Senior Research Fellow: FFP funded project -Enhancing profitability of Oil Palm based cropping system through resource use efficient technologies with farmer scientist and stakeholders interface.
- Essential: M. Sc in Agriculture Horticulture (with 4 years bachelor’s (BSc (Agril,/Hort.) degree and 2 years Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture).
Desirable:
- Working experience in rural areas.
- Working experience in oil palm and working knowledge with computers.
- Possess two wheeler and two wheeler driving license.
- Telugu reading and writing.
- Duration: Up to 31st March 2024 or co-terminus with the project.
