IIFSR Recruitment 2021 – Indian Institute Of Farming Systems Research has released the application for the post of Young Professional/Research Associate/Senior Research Fellow for 22 vacancies. The candidates who completed Any Degree are only eligible to apply for these positions. The selection process will be based on the written test and interview. Eligible candidate can apply through postal on or before 10 September 2021. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.
About IIFSR: The Simple Fertilizer Trial on Cultivators field initiated during 1952-53 has gone through changes over time as per need and contributed significantly for the green revolution of the country by developing and demonstrating the usefulness of fertilizers in the farmers field as Experiment on Cultivators Field (ECF). This has resulted in suitable fertilizer policy development by the Government of India for improving the productivity of major production systems such as rice-wheat, rice-rice and maize-wheat systems which meets around 72 % of Indian calories requirement.

Educational Qualification:
Research Associate:
- Ph.D in Agronomy or Master’s degrees holders in Agronomy with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st Division or 60% or equivalent overall grade point average with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associate ship /Training/ other engagements and one research paper in science citation Index (SCI) NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal OR
- Ph.D in Agronomy/Soil Science/Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Economics/Geography or M.Tech in Soil and Water Conservation/ Irrigation and drainage engineering/Meteorology/M.Sc in Agronomy/Soil Science/Agricultural Economics/Agricultural Meteorology with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st Division or 60% or equivalent overall grade point average with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associate ship /Training/other engagements and one research paper in science citation Index (SCI) NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal
Senior Research Fellow:
- Master degree in Agronomy/ Soil Science/Horticultural Sciences/Agricultural Meteorology with 4 /5 years of Bachelors degree. OR Master degree in Soil Science/Agronomy with 4 /5 years of Bachelors degree OR M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering/Remote Sensing and GIS/Computer Science or M.Sc. in Agronomy/Soil Science/Agricultural Meteorology/Agro forestry. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research OR
- M.Tech/M.CA in Computer Science/ Information Technology. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience in the relevant area as evidenced by Publication/ Research Paper/Article/Report etc. OR
Master degree in Agronomy/ Soil Science/Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/relevant subject with 4/5 years of Bachelors degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience in the relevant area as evidenced by Publication/ Research Paper/Article/Report etc.
Young professional – I:
- Graduate in Commerce OR Graduate in Agriculture or Diploma holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences OR Professional Graduate or BCA/BBA/Finance/Administration/Human resources development.
Young Professional – II:
- Graduates with at least 60% marks in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Application with 1 year experience in relevant field or Masters in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Application. Or Master Degree in Computer Application/Information technology/Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Operating System/Software Engineering/Computer Graphics. OR Master degree in Food Technology/MBA/HRD.
Age Limit:
- Research Associate – 40 years for Men & 45 years for Women candidates
- Senior Research Fellow – 35 years for Men & 40 years for Women candidates
