Detailed Eligibility for IICT Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

B.E/B. Tech or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology with a valid GATE Score.

Duration: The total duration of the fellowship is five years, within which the candidate is expected to complete the PhD degree.

Note: Candidates selected for the award of JRF-GATE will be eligible for fellowship subject to being registered/enrolled for the PhD/Integrated PhD program in AcSIR.

Age Limit ( As on 20 April 2024 ): 28 years

Age Relaxation: The age limits are relaxable per the CSIR rule for SC/ST/Women/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PWD.

Stipend:

The fellowship amount is Rs. 37,000/-per month plus HRA.
In addition, a contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/- per annum (calculated on a pro-rata basis for a fraction of a year) is also provided.
Further, on completion of two years as JRF-GATE, the fellowship may be upgraded to SRF-GATE, and the stipend may be increased to Rs. 42,000/- per month in the subsequent years based on the assessment as per CSIR HRDG JRF/SRF- GATE guidelines.

Selection Process for IICT Careers:

The selection will be based on interviews.
After screening the applications, eligible candidates will be invited to appear in an online -interview (through MS-Team) before the selection committee.
Selected candidates shall be recommended to CSIR-HRDG for final approval.
Selected candidates shall be required to join CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, within 15 days of the declaration of the final results.
