IIAP Recruitment – Detailed Eligibility:

Research Trainee (Optics): B. Tech (Applied Optics/Optoelectronics) or M.Sc (Physics/ Applied Optics) with a recommended Minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institution.

Desirable: Knowledge and experience in lab set-up and conducting tests on optical components, scripting languages such as Python. Must be familiar with Unix/Linux platform.

Research Trainee (Simulations): M.Sc in Physics / Astrophysics with a recommended Minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Desirable: Knowledge of astronomical databases, experience in handling data from astronomical instruments and scripting languages such as Python. Must be familiar with Unix/Linux platform.

Age limit (As on the date of walk-in-interview): 26 years (Age Relaxation as per Govt. policy)

IIAP Recruitment – Detailed Eligibility:

Project Engineer-II (Electronics/Instrumentation): B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/ Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution. Candidates with higher qualification in relevant field and experience will also be considered.

Experience: Minimum five years experience after graduation. Should have worked in an industry/public sector/government establishments in design and development activities of electronics, instrumentation, control systems, electromechanical systems, etc.

Project Engineer-I (Electronics): B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/ Institution.

Experience: Minimum two years experience after graduation, of working in an industry/ public sector/government establishments in design and development activities of electronic, test equipments, etc.

Project Trainee (Mechanical): A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.

Project Trainee (Software): B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution;

Age limit (As on 20.05.2019):

  • Project Engineer-II (Electronics/Instrumentation): 35 years
  • Project Engineer-I (Electronics): 32 years
  • Project Trainee: 26 years
  • Relaxation as per government policy

IIAP PE Recruitment – Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: M.Tech (Optical Engineering/Astronomy Instrumentation/ Optics) from a reputed Institution or University.

Experience: Candidates should have two or more years of experience in activities related to design/build/test/calibration of optical instruments or worked in the area of adaptive optics in reputed institutions.

Desirable: Knowledge of hardware design, development of closed loop control software, image processing, testing and troubleshooting are essential. Must be proficient in ZEMZAX,
LabVIEW, Python, Matlab and C/C++. Must be familiar with Unix/Linux platform and windows platform.
