Detailed Eligibility – HPCL Apprentice Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Engineering :
- Engineering Graduation in [Civil/ Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation] with 60% aggregate marks of all semesters/ years for UR/OBC-NC and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/(VH/HH/OH/MD*) Candidates
Notes:
- Engineering Graduates in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation streams who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01.04.2023 onwards are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have completed engineering prior to 01.04.2023 are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
Age Limit (As on 02 March 2026): 18 to 25 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation by 5 yrs. for SC/ST, 3 yrs. for OBC-NC and 10 yrs. for PwBD
Stipend: Rs. 25000/- for Engineering Graduates (Rs 20,500 will be paid by HPCL & Rs 4500 will be directly paid to apprentices by GOI as per DBT scheme)

Selection Process for HPCL Apprentice Careers
- Applications will be screened based on the merit percentage (marks) according to the eligibility criteria and prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade and the number of training slots notified in the detailed advertisement.
- Candidates shall be called for verification of documents/certificates in order of merit in a ratio of 1:5 with respect to the training slots notified / available
- Shortlisted candidates will be communicated through the registered email
- A merit list will be prepared based on the candidates reported for the document verification process and found suitable as per the eligibility.
