Educational Qualification:

Assistant Agricultural Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from an Agricultural University recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Knowledge of Konkani.

Planning Officer:

  • Master’s Degree in Economics of a recognized University and Knowledge of Konkani

Assistant Professor in Architecture:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent and Knowledge of Konkani Assistant Engineer.

Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery:

  • A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned specialty/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent.
  • Should be registered with Dental Council. Knowledge of Konkani.

Lecturer in Radiology:

  • A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Post-graduate medical qualification in the specialty concerned or equivalent. At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned specialty as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. Knowledge of Konkani.

Assistant Archivist Grade-I:

  • At least 2nd Class Master’s degree in Indian History of a recognized University or equivalent. Some experience of research in Modern Indian History/teaching of Modern Indian History in a University or College/work in an Archival Office.  Degree in Portuguese or Curso Complementary of Arts/Science from Lyceum.

Junior Scale Officer of Goa Civil Service:

  • He/She must hold a degree from a University established by an Act of Parliament or any State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University, under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (Central Act 3 of 1956) or a foreign University as may be approved by the Central Government from time to time, or possess a qualification which has been recognized by the State/Central Government for the purpose of admission to the examination and Knowledge of Konkani.

GPSC Recruitment – Selection Process:
  • For the posts of Junior Scale Officer of Goa Civil Service:

PRE-SCREENING TEST:

  • The Goa Public Service Commission has decided to conduct an additional Pre-screening test prior to a Screening Test for appointment to the posts of Junior Scale Officers of Goa Civil Service, Government of Goa. This Examination is being conducted taking into account the present pandemic and the need to observe Standard Operating Procedures as recommended by the Government.
  • This additional Pre-screening test will be conducted as follows: The pre-screening test will be of one hour duration. All eligible candidates will be broken up into small batches of around three hundred candidates in each batch.
  • Each batch will have a separate question paper. However, the difficulty level of each paper across batches would be similar. The paper will comprise a total of sixty questions of multiple choice type (MCQs) and every question answered will carry one mark for the right answer and zero marks for the wrong answer.
  • Duration for Pre-screening Test : 60 Minutes. Maximum Marks for Pre-screening Test : 60 Marks

REPEAT PRE-SCREENING TEST:



  • This repeat pre-screening test will be conducted within a period of one week from the conduct of the pre-screening test and those candidates who score the following marks at the pre-screening test will be permitted to answer this repeat pre-screening test.
  • General Category – 36 marks or 37 marks or 38 marks. OBC/PwD Category – 33 marks or 34 marks or 35 marks SC Category – 30 marks or 31 marks or 32 marks
  • Candidates are to note that they will not need to apply to answer this repeat pre-screening test since the Commission will collate the data of all those candidates who secure marks as listed above.

SCREENING TEST:

  • All those candidates who qualify at this pre-screening test whether at the first attempt or the repeat attempt will be admitted to the Screening Test required for shortlisting of candidates.  Duration for C.B.R.T : 75 Minutes. Maximum Marks for C.B.R.T : 75 Marks
  • The Minimum passing marks at the screening test shall be as follows: Candidates belonging to Unreserved category- 65%. Candidates belonging to OBC/PwD Category – 60%. Candidates belonging to SC Category – 55%.

COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST:

  • The candidates shortlisted by the Commission on the basis of results of the screening test will be subjected for competitive written examination which shall be of 250 marks as per below mentioned details:
  • Paper-I Part A-General Intelligence, reasoning and numerical aptitude of 50 Marks – 60 minutes. Part B- Basics of Indian Constitution, Governance and Administration 75 Marks – 120 minutes, Part C- General knowledge and current affairs 75 Marks – 120 minutes, Paper-II Part D- English Comprehension 50 marks – 90 minutes.

ORAL INTERVIEW:

  • All candidates called for the oral interview should obtain a minimum of 50% marks at the oral interview to be eligible for final selection based on 18 below, subject to them obtaining a minimum final combined marks (competitive written examination and oral interview) as under:
  • Candidates belonging to Unreserved category – 65% . Candidates belonging to OBC/PwD Category – 60%. Candidates belonging to SC Category – 55%
  • The final selection will be in order of merit based on the combined marks scored by the candidates in competitive written examination and oral interview.
