GENERAL INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA which is commonly known as GIC invited Graduates / Post Graduates from various disciplines to fill in the vacancies of 44 Officers in the cadre of Assistant Manager (Scale-I). The various disciplines include Finance, Chartered Accountant, Legal, Insurance, and General. The online exam for this post is scheduled on the 29th of August, 2021. GIC Assistant Manager Admit Card:

The admit card which is also referred to as a call letter is mandatory for the candidates to take up the written exam. Intimation for downloading call letters will also be sent through email/SMS. So, the candidates are asked to keep their mobile number and email active.

The admit card will be available for download 10 days prior to the exam. So, you can download your admit card from 19 August onwards. Follow the below steps to download your GIC assistant manager admit card.

Step 1:ย  Visit the official website of GIC โ€“ย  https://www.gicofindia.com/en/career-en

Step 2: Active link for downloading the admit card will be available there. Click on the relevant link for the exam that you are appearing for.

Step 3: Enter the required details such as Registration Number/Roll Number, Password/Date of Birth and submit them.



Step 4: Your GIC Assistant Manager admit card will be available there for download. Take a printout of your admit card. All the details related to the exam such as time, venue, and other things will be available on the admit card itself.



Step 5: Affix a recent recognizable photograph of yours on the call letter. You need to take this call letter along with a photo identity on the day of the exam.

Check Selection Procedure:

The selection for the post of Assistant Manager (Grade 1) is of three phases.

  1. Online Test.
  2. Group Discussion.
  3. Interview.

The Appointment letter will be given to the candidates only if they prove to be medically fit according to the standards fixed by the GCI. The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview will be 200.

Minimum qualifying marks โ€“ online test โ€“ 60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST.

Minimum qualifying marks โ€“ overall selection processย  (online test, GD and Interview) โ€“ 60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST.

Test Pattern for Online Exam:

GIC Assistant Manager - Test Pattern

  • Total test timing โ€“ 150 minutes.
  • PART A โ€“ Objective โ€“ 30 minutes.
  • Part B โ€“ Objective โ€“ 60 minutes.
  • Part C โ€“ Descriptive โ€“ 60 minutes.
  • Negative Marks โ€“ For objective tests alone. ยผ of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Group Discussion and Interview:

The maximum marks for Group Discussion and Interview are 20 and 30, respectively. A separate admit card will be provided for the GD and Interview which will be informed later.

The final selection is done on the basis of overall performance in written examination, Group Discussion, and Interview which will be notified on the GIC Re website.
