Detailed Eligibility for GETCO Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Plant Attendant Gr.-I (Electrical):
- Full-time/Regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% in Last Year/ 5th &6th semester
Period of Engagement:
- The selected candidate shall be appointed initially for Three years as Vidyut Sahayak (Plant Attendant Gr.I) and may be considered for appointment to the post of Plant Attendant Gr.- I on the regular establishment, in the pay scale of Rs. 26000‐56600 for two years subject to the satisfactory completion of three years as Vidyut Sahayak.
- After Completion of Two years as Plant Attendant –I on a scale of 26000‐56600/‐, he shall be appointed Plant Operator Grade –I on a vacant post anywhere in Gujarat subject to fulfil the required criteria per the company’s Rules.
Upper Age Limit (As on 06 March 2024):

Selection Process for GETCO Careers:
- The selection process will be based on the online application, OMR Exam (First-tier Exam & Second Tier Exam) and document verification.
- The question paper for both exams (first tier and second tier) shall consist of 100 questions each, and the paper shall be of 100 Marks.
- Each question shall carry one mark.
- There shall be a negative marking system, and¼ marks for each wrong answer shall be deducted to arrive at total marks scored for both the tiers of examination (first tier and second tier).
- A final selection list will be prepared, and appointment orders shall be issued to eligible candidates accordingly, subject to document verification and Medical fit.
First Tier Exam:
- The OMR Test/examination should consist of 100 marks & the candidates who score 50 or more in the unreserved category and 45 and above in the reserved category.
- The Question Paper will be in English & Gujarati Language. The questions and answers asked for Gujarati Subjects shall be only in Gujarat.

- EWS and PWD candidates will be called for the second Tier of the exam in the proportion of 1:5, i.e. five times the total number of advertised vacancies.
- The candidate who scores marks above in the first tier of the examination shall only be eligible for admission to the second tier of the examination.
- After completion of the first tier of the exam, the candidate can view the provisional questions / answer key, and if there is any objection, the same can be raised within the prescribed time limit.
- After completing the above, each candidate’s marks will be published along with the final answer key on the GETCO website.
Second Tier Exam:
- The candidate scoring 50 and above marks in case of unreserved candidates and 45 and above marks in case of reserved category candidates, EWS and PwD candidates in the first tier of the examination will be considered for second tier examination in the ratio as mentioned above, i.e. 1:5, meaning thereby five candidates to be called for one vacancy and so on.
- However, when the number of candidates who secured more than 50 marks exceeds the desired ratio of 1:5, the cut-off would be adjusted accordingly to maintain the ratio.
- The list of eligible candidates for the second-tier examination will be notified on the GETCO website.
- The eligible candidates will be issued hall tickets for the examination, which will be downloaded from the GETCO website.
- After completion of the exam, the candidates can view the provisional questions /answer key.
- In case of any objection, the same can be raised within the prescribed time limit on the GETCO website.
- Upon completion of the above exam, the result, the provisional merit list, and the answer key will be published on the GETCO Website.
- The final ranking of the candidates shall be determined based on the marks obtained by him in the main examination (i.e. Second Tier examination)

Result:
- The result of the second-tier Examination will be considered for the Final selection.
- The validity of the selection list will be one year from publishing the final merit list on the GETCO Website.
Document to be submitted after the OMR Exam:
- The online application form and two recent passport-size photographs should be affixed to the application form.
- Self‐attested copy of School Leaving Certificate, All Mark‐sheets of Diploma, Certificate from the Institute/University mentioning percentage marks obtained in case grading system & Diploma Certificate
- Caste (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) Certificate issued by the authority of Gujarat State.
- In the case of SEBC candidates, the latest Non-Creamy Layer Certificate was issued in Gujarati.
- For PWD Candidates, a valid Civil Surgeon certificate is required. (Showing % of Disability).
- In the case of Ex. The necessary certificate for armed forces personnel should be attached.
- Affidavit for genuineness of documents as per attached proforma
- Affidavit as per attached proforma in case of Dependent of Retired Employee of GUVNL and Subsidiary Companies
- In case of Dependent of Retired Employee of GUVNL and Subsidiary Companies, Relieving Order or Certificate issued to the employee should be attached
- In the case of widow applicants, the death certificate of the husband and an undertaking to the effect that the applicant has not re‐married.
- NOC from present employer (If applicable).
- A domicile certificate is required if the candidate belongs to Gujarat State.
- Identification Proof (Voter ID/PAN card/Aadhar Card/Driving License etc.)
- Residential Address Proof (Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Ration Card etc.)
- Any other Certificate/document applicable.
