GATE 2022 โ Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance examination for the admission of Postgraduate engineering conducted across all over India. GATE examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IITโs) located in 7 cities as Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee. GATE 2022 โ Examination Overview:
ย ย ย ย Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) โ 2022 test will contain 29 papers in various streams of engineering. The candidates can appear for two papers. Candidates opting to appear in TWO subject papers must have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. Candidates can choose subject papers based on their graduation in the undergraduate or else future scope of the paper. For the year 2022, two new papers Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM). Further details about the GATE entrance examination are:-

GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates who are willing to apply for the GATE 2022 Examination, should fulfill the below-mentioned criteria.
- Currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.
- Already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts.
- Candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Planning, etc.
- Candidates from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelorโs degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.

Exam Mode โ Computer Based Test (CBT).
Duration โย 3 Hours.
Total Number of Subjects (Papers) โ 29.
Sections in Question Paper โ General Aptitude (GA) + Candidateโs Selected Subject(s).

(a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
(b) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
Evaluation Model โ Questions will test the abilities of the candidates to Recall, Comprehension, Application, Analysis & Synthesis.
Number of Questions โ 10 (General Aptitude) + 55 (Domain Subject Related) = 65 Questions.
Distribution of Marks in papers AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL โ General Aptitude: 15 Marks + Subject Questions: 85 Marks = Total: 100 Marks.
Distribution of Marks for other paperย โ General Aptitude: 15 Marks + Engineering Mathematics: 13 Marks + Subject Questions: 72 Marks = Total: 100 Marks.
Marking Scheme โย Questions carry 1 mark and 2 marks.
Negative Markingย โ For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, there will be negative marking.
For 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
For 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
NO negative marking for MSQ & NAT.

GATE 2022 Application process:
ย ย ย GATE application will be available on the official website only. The application can be applied only by ONLINE MODE. Candidates have to enter details like name, address, contact details and have to submit such important documents needed. While entering the details candidates have carefully check them and then submit the details. Because those details will be appeared in the GATE Admit card 2022.
The candidates are asked to go through the information brochure properly before filling out the application form.
