DRDO VRDE Recruitment 2026: The Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE), Ahmednagar, under DRDO, has announced notification for the Junior Research Fellow posts. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech qualifications are eligible for this job. There are a total of three vacancies available for these posts. Detailed Eligibility for DRDO VRDE Careers:
Junior Research Fellow:
- Candidate to have as on date of interview BE/BTech degree in First Division and a valid Cut off GATE Score OR
- ME/MTech with First Division both at graduate and post-graduate level
- Equivalent Discipline/ branch/field acceptable:
- Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Engg Mechanical & Automation Engg, Mechanical & Production Engg
- Electrical Engineering – Electrical Engg Electrical Power System Engg, Electrical & Electronics Engg, Power Electronics Engg
Tenure: Initially, the offer should be for two years, which may be extended for a further two years (one: Year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed by the Review Committee.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on as date of the interview,
Age Relaxation: The age relaxation is Five years for SC/ST and Three years for OBC (Non-creamy layer ) candidates. Caste certificate copy is to be enclosed with the application, if applicable.
Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA

Selection Process for DRDO VRDE Careers:
- The selection process will be based on Document verification, written test & interview
- Written test will be conducted after scrutiny of documents on 04 May 2026 for Mechanical Engg branch and on 06th May for Electrical Engg branch from 12:00 PM Onwards
- Duration of test will be only for two hours.
- In case of large number of candidates, Interview will be conducted on the next day also.
- Candidates are required to produce the duly filled application form, as per the format provided, along with attested copies of certificate/testimonials w.r.t qualification, experience and caste at the time of walk-in-interview
- While appearing for interview, candidates are required to produce all certificate/testimonials in original for verification.
