Detailed Eligibility – DRDO DIPAS Jobs:
Educational Qualification:
Research Associate:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry
- Desirable Qualification: Candidate having experience of research work related to Electrolyte Chemistry and Gasification will be given preference
Junior Research Fellow:
Mechanical Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE score Or
- M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
- Desirable: Candidate having knowledge of ANSYS & solid works will be given preference
Computer Science & Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with valid GATE score Or
- M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
- Desirable: Candidate having knowledge of software development and using AI tools will be given preference.
Electronics & Communication Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with valid GATE score Or
- M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from
NET/GATE as per guidelines.) - Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge of MATLAB and Labview will be given preference
Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Heat Transfer:
- First Class B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge in Heat transfer/ thermodynamics with valid GATE score Or
- M.E./M.Tech in Thermal Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
Industrial Design:
- First Class B.Tech in Industrial Design/ B.Des. with valid GATE score. Or
- M.E./M.Tech in Industrial Design with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines)
Textile Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech in Textile Engineering with valid GATE score Or
- M.E./M.Tech in Textile Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
- Desirable: Candidates with knowledge of Technical Textilewill be given preference
Physiology:
- First Class M.Sc. in Medical Physiology/Sports Science/Human Physiology with valid NET/GATE score
Physics:
- First Class M.Sc in Physics with specialization in Infrasonics / Laser Technology with valid NET/GATE score. Or
- M.E./M.Tech in Physics with specialization in Acoustic / Laser Science with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
Electrical Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with valid GATE score Or
- M.E../M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
- Desirable: candidates with working knowledge on low voltage power system and Lithium ion battery will be given preference
Chemistry:
- First Class M.Sc. in Chemistry with valid NET/GATE score.
- Desirable: Candidates with experience in Electrolyte Chemistry will be given preference.
Agriculture Science (Horticulture/ Vegetable Sciences/ Olericulture/ Plant Pathology/ Agronomy):
- First Class M.Sc. in Agriculture Science (Horticulture/ Vegetable Sciences/ Olericulture/ Plant Pathology/ Agronomy) with valid NET/GATE score
Microbiology:
- First Class M.Sc. in Microbiology with valid NET/GATE score
- Desirable: Candidate with Experience of gene editing technologies will be given preference
Chemical Engineering:
- First Class B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with valid GATE score Or M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with First division at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./ M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines).
Age Limit(As on 21 July 2025):
- Research Associate: Maximum of 35 years
- Junior Research Fellow: Maximum of 28 years
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit shall be relaxable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC as per Govt of Inida rules
Stipend details of DRDO DIPAS Careers:
- Research Associate: Rs. 67000/- + HRA as per rules applicable in DRDO
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37000/- + HRA as per rules applicable in DRDO.
