Directorate of Purchase & Stores (DPS) Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Recruitment 2023: Directorate of Purchase & Stores (DPS) Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Recruitment 2023 notification announced for the Group C Posts -Junior Purchase Assistant / Junior Storekeeper in DPS, Mumbai and Regional Units of DPS all over India for DPS Career. There are 62 vacancies available for the posts. Candidates with the B.Sc/B.Com/Diploma qualification are eligible to apply for DPS Careers. DSP DAE – The Department of Atomic Energy was exempted in 1956 from utilizing the services of the erstwhile Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS&D) for making its purchases. In granting this exemption, the Government of India had taken into consideration the highly specialized nature of the projects undertaken by the Department and the vital necessity for the completion of these projects with utmost speed. Prior to forming a full-fledged Purchase and Stores Division for the then Atomic Energy Establishment Trombay (later named as Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), procurement was, for some time, handled by the Chemistry Division for itself and for a brief period by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).

Educational Qualification DPS DAE Vacancies:

Junior Purchase Assistant / Junior Storekeeper:

• Graduate in Science with 60% marks. OR
• Commerce graduate with 60% marks. OR
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Electronics / Computer Science with 60% marks from government-recognised universities/ institutions.

Age Limit ( As of 31 December 2023 ): 18 to 27 Years(Candidate must have been born between 31-12-1996 and 31-12-2005 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation DPS DAE Vacancies:

• SC: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• PwBD (SC): 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction from the military service rendered from the actual age.

Selection Process for Department of Atomic Energy Recruitment:

• The selection process includes an Objective/Descriptive Examination.
• Empanelment criteria: Marks obtained in Level 2 Examination only.
• The Level 1 Examination will be the only qualifying exam/screening test to shortlist candidates for the Level 2 Examination.
• To be written purely either in English or in Hindi.
• Answers should not be written in a combination of both English and Hindi).
• All candidates who have applied and fulfilled the eligibility criteria will be called for the Level 1 Examination.
• Questions for the Level 1 Exam will be Objective Type Multiple Choice.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Level 1 Examination (objective multiple choice Type).
• The Level 1 & Level 2 Examinations will be held on the same day.
• However, only those Level 2 papers (Descriptive) of candidates shortlisted in the Level 1 Exam will be evaluated.
• In case more candidates qualify in the Level 1 examination, then the candidates will be shortlisted for the Level 2 Examination up to 20 times the vacancies indicated in each category.
• Empanelment criteria will be based on merit in Level 2 Scores.
• There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores of any stage / Level(s) of the examination.
• No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

• Duration: 03 hours
• Maximum Marks: 100 Marks

Application Fees for DPS Careers:

• The applicant has to remit the application fee of Rs.200/- online.
• SC/ ST, Women candidates, Ex-Servicemen, and PWD candidates are exempted from the application fee.
• The fee, once paid, shall be non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be held in reserve for any other examination under any circumstances.
