Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Navigational Assistant Grade-III:
- Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics from a institution recognized by the Central Government or State government.
- Desirable: One year of practical experience in wireless communications(including installation and maintenance of wireless transmitters and receivers or Aids to Navigation(including visual and Radio aids to Navigation), Automatic relay systems or diesel generator sets.
Description:
- Operation and maintenance of all Aids to Marine Navigation equipment[Electrical & Electronics, DG Sets, AMF Panels and other control units, inverters, UPS battery).
- Watchkeeping of light and upkeeping of Lighthouses
- Any other works assigned by the superior or higher authority
Age Limit (As on 01 April 2024): 18 -27 Years
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable as it is subject to submitting the requisite certificate.
- The upper age limit relaxation for other categories like Ex-Servicemen/Physically Handicapped/SC candidates etc. will be as per the admissible Rule of Govt of India for the recruitment to the posts on closing date.
- For Govt. Servants, it is up to 40 years in case of general [as per DOPT OM)
- No age relaxation is allowed for OBC/SC/ST candidates applying against unreserved vacancies

Selection Process of DGLL Recruitment:
- The candidates who fulfil the requirements as per the Recruitment Rule shall be called written examination.
Written Test:
- Only successful candidates shall be called for the next stage of the selection process.
- Written test for 100 marks consisting of general knowledge, general intelligence, current affairs, general English/Hindi, and elementary mathematics at the level of secondary/diploma.
- The date of the written examination will be intimated to the candidates by post.
- The Centre for Examination will be indicated on the admit card.
- The Examination Centre and examination date will not be changed under any circumstance.
Interview:
- The successful candidates from the written test will be eligible for further selection, like physical test/trade test and interview, etc.
- The candidates who are successful in the written examination will be called for interview.
