About Directorate of Agriculture Manipur: The Department of Agriculture, Manipur was emerged in March 1946 with a skeleton staff consisting of about a dozen members only headed by an Agriculture Officer in a small building at Babupara, Imphal. With the lunching of “Grow More Food Campaign” under Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Government of India a separate Food Production Office was established in September 1950 with the objective of popularizing double cropping in all suitable areas state in both Hills and Valley.

Village Extension Worker/ Field Assistant:

Driver:
- Matriculate/ HSLC or Equivalent from a recognized board with driving experience for 3 years possessing a requisite driving license.
Peon:
- Matriculate HSLC or equivalent from a recognized university
Chowkidaar:
- Matriculate HSLC or equivalent from a recognized university.

Directorate of Agriculture Manipur Recruitment 2021 Selection Process:
- There shall be a written test & computer skill test for the post at SI. No. 1, written test for the post at SI. No. 2,
and driving test for the post at SI.No.3. The date of written test, Computer skill test and driving test shall be notified
separately. Modalities for the post at SI.No4 & 5 shall also be notified at a later date. - The modalities of the Examination shall consist of a multiple choice combined written test (MC) for Office Asst. Cum Comp. operator and V.E.W/ FA. comprising of General Knowledge (50 Marks) and General English (50 marks). There shall be 30 marks for computer/ driving skill test in respect of Office Assistant cum computer operator & Driver.
