Educational qualification :
Project Associate-I / JRF :
- For Project Associate-I : The candidates must have completed Master degree in Applied Geology /Geology) or M. Tech. in Petroleum Technology (with M. Sc. in Geology) from a recognised University
- For JRF : The candidates must have completed Master degree in Applied Geology /Geology) or M. Tech. in Petroleum Technology (with M. Sc. in Geology) from a recognised University and selected through any of the following processes
(i) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests– CSIR – UGC NET (including Lectureship) and GATE
(ii) The selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and institutions
Project Associate-II / SRF :
- For Project Associate-II : The candidates must have completed Master degree in Applied Geology /Geology) or M. Tech. in Petroleum Technology (with M. Sc. in Geology) from a recognised University
- For SRF : The candidates must have completed Master degree in Applied Geology /Geology) or M. Tech. in Petroleum Technology (with M. Sc. in Geology) from a recognised University and selected through any of the following processes
(i) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests– CSIR – UGC NET (including Lectureship) and GATE
(ii) The selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and institutions - The candidates must have 2 years’ experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutes or Science & Technology organisations.
Age limit:
The upper age limit for the above mentioned positions are as follows :
- Project Associate-I / JRF : 35 years
- Project Associate-II / SRF : 37 years

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- The candidates must have completed M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent degree with 60% marks and having qualified in NET/GATE/DBT-BET (category II) test.
Project Assistant (PA):
- The candidates must have completed M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent degree with 60% marks.
Age limit:
- The maximum age limit for the candidates applying for the post of Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant should be 28 years.
Total Vacancies :
- 1 Post – JRF/PA
Salary :
- The salary for the post of Junior Research Fellow is Rs.31,000/ month (for first two years) and Rs.35,000/ month (for 3rd year)
- The salary for the post of Project Assistant is as per DBT norms.
