DG EME Recruitment 2025: Directorate General Of Electronics And Mechanical Engineers has announced notification for the Group โ€œCโ€ Posts. There are 625 vacancies for these posts. Detailed Eligibility for DG EME Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Pharmacist

  • Pass in 10+2.
  • Two years Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Registration with the State Pharmacy Council.

Electrician (Highly Skilled-II)/Electrician (Power) (Highly Skilled-II)/Telecom Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II) :

  • Pass in 10+2.
  • Certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the respective trade or grade. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Engineering Equipment Mechanic (Highly Skilled Grade-II):

  • Pass in 10+2.
  • Certificate from a recognized ITI in the motor mechanic trade. OR B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification: National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Vehicle Mechanic (Armoured Fighting Vehicle) (Highly Skilled-II):

  • Pass in 10+2.
  • Certificate from a recognized ITI in the Motor Mechanic trade. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification:
  • National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Armament Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II):

  • Pass in 10+2.
  • Certificate from a recognized ITI in the Fitter trade. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Draughtsman Grade-II:

  • Matric or its equivalent.
  • Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institute. OR
  • Two years Diploma Certificate in Draughtsmanship (Mechanical) from an ITI or its equivalent from a recognized institute.
  • Three years of experience in a reputable organization.

Stenographer Grade-II:

  • Pass in 12th class or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
  • Skill Test Norms:
  • Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
  • Transcription:
    • 50 minutes (English) on a computer.
    • 65 minutes (Hindi) on a computer.

Machinist (Skilled):

  • ITI certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in Machinist, Turner, Mill Wright, or Precision Grinder. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Fitter/Tin and Copper Smith/Upholster/Moulder/Welder/Vehicle Mechanic:

  • ITI certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or grade. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade with a minimum of Grade I.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • National Council for Training in Vocational Trades certificate from the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Storekeeper:

  • Pass in 12th class from a recognized Board or University.

Lower Division Clerk:

  • Pass in 12th class from a recognized Board or University.
  • Typing speed of:
    • 35 words per minute in English on a computer.
    • 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer (35 WPM and 30 WPM correspond to 10,500/9,000 key depressions per hour on an average of 5 key depressions per word).

Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade):



  • Matriculation.
  • Possess a Civilian Driving License for heavy vehicles.
  • Two years of experience in driving heavy vehicles.

Fire Engine Driver:

  • Matriculation or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
  • Must have passed the specified physical test.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • Familiarity with maintenance and operation of fire appliances.
    • Experience working in a Civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman.
    • Completion of a general firefighting course from the Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, or Sub-Officerโ€™s Course from the National Fire Service College, Nagpur, or a similar recognized course.

Fireman:

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent.
  • Must be conversant with:
    • Use and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose fittings, fire engines, pumps, foam branches, etc.
    • First-aid fire-fighting appliances.
    • Elementary principles of firefighting.
    • Foot and appliance Fire Service Drills.
    • Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
    • Must have passed the specified physical test.

Cook:

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Indian cooking and proficiency in the trade.

Tradesman Mate:

  • Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Barber:

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Proficiency in barberโ€™s trade job.
  • Desirable Qualification: One year of experience in the trade.

Washerman:

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Must be able to wash military/civilian clothes thoroughly.

Multitasking Staff (Daftry/Messenger/Searcher/Gardner/Safaiwala/Chowkidar/Book Binder):

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent from recognised Board.
  • Desirable: Conversant with the duties of the respective trades with one year experience in the trade.

Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years (Except S.No 2 (u) i.e. Fire Engine Driver- for which the age limit is 18 to 30 years).

Age Relaxation:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): 5 years of age concession.
  • Other Backward Class (OBC โ€“ Non-creamy layer): 3 years of age concession.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD):
    • 10 years of age relaxation.
    • 15 years for SC/ST candidates.
    • 13 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates.
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM):
    • Resultant age (actual age minus the period of service) should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years.
    • Age calculation is based on the category of the application.
  • Departmental Candidates (Central Govt Employees):
    • Age relaxation up to 40 years of age for general candidates.
    • Up to 45 years of age for SC/ST candidates with at least 3 years of continuous service in Central Government.

Selection Process for DG EME Careers:

  • The selection process will be based on Written Examination
  • Written test will be offline (Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based) andโ€œObjective Typeโ€ for 150 marks with Negative Marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
  • Duration of examination is two hours.
  • Question paper will be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi and the syllabus will be in accordance to minimum qualification prescribed for each post
  • Written test will be conducted for all Trades.
  • The selection committee has discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks in any or all parts of papers.
  • Skill test and Physical test (wherever applicable) will be conducted for candidates who pass the written test and come in merit.
  • Skill test and Physical test(wherever applicable) will be qualifying in nature and the candidates who fail to qualify Skill/ Physical test shall not be eligible for selection.
