Educational Qualifications:
Project Title: “Reverse genetics approach for functional characterization of mitochondrial Alternative OXidase (mtAOX1a) in oxidative stress alleviation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae”
Junior Research Fellow (JRF:
- Master of Science in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Biochemistry or any other related fields
- Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in Yeast Genetics, Yeast Cell Biology and Molecular Biology
- Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared NET/GATE or equivalent examination.
Note: The candidate selected for this position may apply for the regular Ph.D. program upon satisfying the eligible criteria set by the Central University of Tamil Nadu.
Duration: The appointment to be made is purely temporary for a period of ONE year but extendable if work is found satisfactory on year-to-year basis for a period not exceeding three years
Tenure: 3 Years
Salary:
- Rs. 31,000 + HRA (For the first two years)
- Rs. 35,000 + HRA (For the third year)

Project Fellow:
- Essential Qualifications: M.Sc Degree in Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry or an equivalent degree obtained from a recognized University/institute with a minimum of 55% mark or CGPA.
- Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to those qualified NET/GATE with research experience in Organic Synthesis
