Detailed Eligibility for Customs Mumbai Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Seaman:
Essential:
- Xth Class pass or equivalent.
- Three years experience in sea-going mechanised vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work.
Desirable: Certificate of Competency as “Mate of fishing Vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Greaser:
Essential:
- Xth Class pass or equivalent.
- Three years experience in sea-going mechanised vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance.
Desirable: Certificate of Competency as “Engine driver of fishing vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Limit (As on 17 December 2024): 18 to 25 years
Age Relaxation:
- Schedule Cast/Schedule Tribe: 05 years
- Other Backward Class: 03 years
- Central Govt. Civilian employees: Age up to 40 years/45 years (SC/ST) in respect of employees who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service
- Ex-Serviceman: 03 years beyond the upper age limit after deduction
of the military service rendered from the actual age
Salary Details: Rs. 18,000/- to 56,900/-

Selection Process for Customs Mumbai Careers:
- The selection process will be based on a written examination
- The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be called for a Written Examination and Physical Endurance test (PET) (Swimming) as the case may be and also subject to medical fitness.
