Chennai DCPU Recruitment 2022 – Chennai DCPU has announced an online application for recruitment to the post of Protection Officer (Institutional & Non-Institutional Care), Legal cum Probation Officer, Counsellor, Social Worker, Accountant, Data Analyst, Assistant cum Data Entry Operator, Outreach Workers . There are a total of 11 vacancies are to be filled for this recruitment. About Chennai DCPU: Institution mandated to be set up under the juvenile justice Act 2000 are Observation Homes, special Home, Children Homes and Shelter Homes. They must be located in a congenial child friendly environment in natural surroundings with adequate open space for children to engage in outdoor activities. The location and size of an institution at a particular city or town will depend on the caseload of Juvenal committed the juvenile justice Board and children referred by the child Welfare committee.

  • Post Graduate degree in Social Work /Sociology/ Child Development / Human Rights Public Administration/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/ Law/ Public Health / Community Resource Management from a recognized University. OR Post Graduate degree in Social Work /Sociology/ Child Development / Human Rights Public Administration/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/ Law/ Public Health / Community Resource Management from a recognized University. OR Graduate in Social Work/Sociology/ Child Development/ Human Rights Public Administration/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/ Law/ Public Health/ Community Resource Management from a recognized University with 2 years’ experience in project formulation/ implementation, monitoring and supervision in the preferably in the field of Women & Child Development / Social Welfare Proficiency in Computer

Protection Officer (Non-Institutional Care) :

  • Post Graduate degree in Social Work /Sociology/ Child Development / Human Rights Public Administration/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/ Law/ Public Health / Community Resource Management from a recognized University. OR Graduate in Social Work/Sociology/ Child Development/ Human Rights Public Administration/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/ Law/ Public Health/ Community Resource Management from a recognized University with 2 years’ experience in project formulation/ implementation, monitoring and supervision in the preferably in the field of Women & Child Development / Social Welfare Proficiency in Computer

Legal cum Probation Officer :



  • LLB from recognized university Experience of at least 2 years of working with Govt./ NGO/ Legal Matters preferably in the field of Women & Child Rights. Good understanding of Women & Child right & protection issues.

Counsellor :

  • Graduate in Social Work / Sociology/Psychology/ Public Health/ Counselling from a recognized university. (OR) PG Diploma in Counselling and Communication. At least 1 year of working experience with the Govt./NGO preferably in the field of Women & Child Development. Proficiency in Computers.

Social Worker :

  • Graduate preferably in B.A in Social Work/ Sociology/ Social Sciences from a recognized university. Weightage for work experience candidate Proficiency in Computers

Accountant :

  • Graduate in commerce/ Mathematics degree from a recognized university. At least 1 year experience of working in desired field Computer Skills & command on Tally

Data Analyst :

  • Graduation in Statistics/ Mathematics/Economics/ Computer (BCA) from a recognized university. Weightage for work experience candidate Proficiency in Computers

Assistant cum Data Entry Operator :

  • 12th pass from a recognized Board/ Equivalent Board with Diploma / Certificate in Computers. Weightage for work experience candidate

Outreach Workers :



  • 12th passed from a recognize Board/ Equivalent Board Good Communication Skills Weightage for work experience candidate.
