CGCRI Recruitment 2022 – CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute has announced an online job notification for recruitment to the post of Technician/Technical Assistant. There are 70 vacancies are to be filled for this posts. Interested candidates who are all eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before 31 May 2022. About CGCRI: Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) originally proposed to be named as Central Glass & Silicate Research Institute is one of the first four laboratories decided to be set up under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, the other three being National Chemical Laboratory, Pune; National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and Central Fuel Research Institute, Dhanbad. Even though it started functioning in a limited way in 1944, the Institute was formally inaugurated on August 26, 1950.

Educational Qualification:
Technician :
- SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate in relevant discipline. OR Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with relevant subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in computer hardware and network maintenance.
Technical Assistant:
- Diploma in Relevant Engineering or Technology of at least 3 years full-time duration or 2 years full-time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course, with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years in the relevant area/field. OR B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and B.Lib. Science. OR B.Sc or equivalent in relevant field, with minimum 60% marks and 1 year experience in relevant field.

- General – 28 years
Upper age relexable by:
- OBC Candidates: 3 Years
- SC, ST Candidates: 5 Years

CGCRI Recruitment 2022 Selection Process:
- The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. There will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III). Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I. The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & Paper-III.
- Mode of Examination: OMR Based or computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination, Medium of Questions : The questions will e set both in English and Hindi except questions on English Language.

CGCRI Recruitment 2021 Selection Process:
- Selection for the post of JSA(G/F&A/S&P): The candidates fulfilling all necessary eligibility criteria as recommended after the Screening will be invited for an open competitive examination and typewriting test on Computer. The Written competitive examination consists of the papers (Paper-1[Mental Ability Test] and Paper-2{General Awareness & General Language}.
- The second paper will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in the first paper. The proficiency in computer typing speed and in using computer will only be qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination.
- Selection for the post of Junior Stenographer: The candidates fulfilling all necessary eligibility criteria as recommended will be invited for open competitive examination and type writing test on Computer and proficiency test in stenography. While the typewriting test on Computer and proficiency test in stenography will be qualifying in nature, the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive written examination.
- Medium of Examination: The questions for examination will be bilingual i.e., Hindi and English except for the English Language part of Paper II.
