CBR IISc Recruitment 2023 notification announced for Technical Assistant posts in the Central Library of the Institute. Candidates with the qualification of M.Sc are eligible to apply for the job. Educational Qualification:
Technical Assistant:
- A master’s degree in basic science or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in visualization modalities such as wide-field fluorescence and confocal microscopy. Specific expertise in confocal fluorescence imaging and image processing.
Period of Contract: Appointment will be on contract for a period of six years. This could be renewed for a further period of six years each, up to the age of 60 years.
Responsibilities:
- Working under the direction of the faculty in charge of the facility should be able to independently oversee the facility’s day-to-day operations along with maintenance and operations of the confocal microscopes.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and applications of upright, inverted confocal microscopy and independently able to conduct courses on confocal microscopy for students.
- A good hands-on experience using the confocal microscope and working knowledge of FRET, FRAP, calcium/live cell imaging, time lapse imaging.
- Maintain instruments and communicate effectively with suppliers to report problems to repair or replace faulty fluorescence/confocal microscope equipment.
- Assist users in their experiments with image acquisition and post-acquisition analysis.
- Working knowledge of Image Analysis Software like ImageJ (FIJI), Imaris.
Age Limit(As on 30 June 2023): 35 years
Salary: Appointments will be in one of the following levels.
- Salary will be fixed considering the qualification, experience and job profile.
- Pay Level P3 – Rs. 43,800 – Rs. 76,800 The annual salary (CTC)will be Rs. 10.49 lakhs at the base level of Rs. 43,800/pm.
- This includes DA, HRA, TA, DA on TA, Gratuity, employer’s contribution to National Pension Scheme and Health Insurance.
