BIRAC Recruitment 2021 – Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) has announced an online job notification for recruitment to the post of Deputy General Manager/ Administrative Officer / Manager/ Others. There are 13 vacancies are to be filled for these posts. About BIRAC: Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, set up by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech enterprise to undertake strategic research and innovation, addressing nationally relevant product development needs. BIRAC is a industry-academia interface and implements its mandate through a wide range of impact initiatives, be it providing access to risk capital through targeted funding, technology transfer, IP management and handholding schemes that help bring innovation excellence to the biotech firms and make them globally competitive.

Educational Qualification:

Deputy General Manager:

  • PhD in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Agri/Plant Sciences from a recognized institute with working knowledge of patent searches and analysis and technology mapping.

Administrative Officer:



  • Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

Manager Corporate Affairs:

  • Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Science, Commerce or Humanities with LLB from a recognized Institute/University or ACS/FCS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Officer Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development:

  • M.Sc./04 years Bachelors professional degree program in Life Sciences/Bio-medical sciences/Pharmacy and any other allied Biotechnology areas from a recognized institute.

Officer Incubation (Network Facilitation/Student Entrepreneurship):

  • M.Sc./M.Tech 04 years Bachelors professional degree program in Life Sciences/Bio-medical sciences/Pharmacy/any other allied Biotechnology areas from a recognized institute Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Manager-Early Stage Funding:

  • Master degree in Commerce/Business Administration (Finance) from a recognized institute with at least Graduate degree in life sciences/ biotech and allies areas.

Officer Technical:

  • B.Tech/M.Sc in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Pharma/Agri/Plant Sciences from a recognized institute. Experience in making detailed reports and giving presentations.

Officer Finance & Accounts:

  • B.Com from a recognized University/Institute plus PG Diploma (Finance) from a recognized institute.

Officer IT:

  • B.Tech (CS/IT) or B.E. (CS/IT) or MCA from a recognized University/Institute.

Officer Investment:

  • M.Sc in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Agri/Plant Sciences from a recognized and reputed institute.
