Education Qualification:
Graduate Apprentice:
- Mechanical: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering*with minimum 55% marks
- Chemical: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical /Electrical & Electronics Engineering*with minimum 55% marks
- Electrical: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering*with minimum 55% marks
- Instrumentation: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation /Electrical & Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics*with minimum 55% mark
- Telecom: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Electronics & Telecommunication /Telecommunication / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
- Computer Science: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Computer Science /Information Technology with a minimum of 55% marks.

Note:
- Candidates who have passed out in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 are eligible to apply for the aforesaid post.
- However, Engineering graduates or diploma holders who have already undergone training or have job experience for a period of one year or more after acquiring the required qualifications shall not be eligible for being engaged as an Apprentice under the Act.)
- All the qualifications must be from UGC recognized Indian University / UGC-recognized Indian Deemed University or an approved Autonomous Indian Institution (wherever applicable).
- The respective State Board of Technical Education should recognize diploma qualifications (for technical disciplines). Industrial Training Institute (ITI) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) qualification should be recognized by the State Council of Technical and Vocational Training (SCTVT) / National Council of Technical and Vocational Training (NCTVT).
Age Limit(As on 31 January 2025):
- Graduate Apprentice/Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Not less than eighteen years and the upper age limit is 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons with Disability
Stipend:
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 9,000/-
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Rs. 8,000/-
