Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2023 released the job notification for the post of Credit Officers in Scale II & III  for 100 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree/CA/CMA/CFA/MBA can apply with the required experience. Eligible candidates can apply online on or before  6 November 2023. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

 Credit Officers in Scale II:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate of all semesters/years (55% for SC / ST / OBC / Pw8D) from a University / Institute recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies. The passing of JAIIB & CAIIB is desirable or
  • Professional Qualifications (Compulsory), anyone like an MBA (Full-Time) preferably in Banking / Finance / Banking & Finance / Marketing / Forex / Credit from a University / Institute recognized by the Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies /PGDBA / PGDBM/CA /CFA/ICWA/ Financial Risk Manager. Or
  • In case a candidate does not possess any of the professional qualifications, he/ she may apply for the post subject to the production of an experience certificate of having worked in Specialized Branches/ Controlling Offices i.e. ZOs/ROs/Commercial/ Corporate Credit Departments at Head and Zonal Office level for at least 3 Years in any Public / Private / Foreign Banks / Financial Institutions. Or
  • Out of three years post-qualification experience (As mentioned in ‘Experience’)minimum two year should be as a Branch Head, in case the candidate has not worked, in Specialized Branches / Controlling Offices i.e. ZOs/ROs/Commercial/ Corporate Credit Departments at Head and Zonal Office in any Public / Private /Foreign Banks/Financial Institutions.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience as an officer and should be confirmed in service and not on contract in the processing of MSME / Mid & Large Corporate proposals in Public / Private / Foreign Banks / Financial Institutions.
    • Experience should be in appraisal/assessment of Credit proposals of MSME /Medium / Large Corporations and/or working as a Branch Head.

 Credit Officers in III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate of all semesters/years (55% for SC / ST / OBC / Pw8D) from a University / Institute recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies. The passing of JAIIB & CAIIB is desirable or
  • Professional Qualifications (Compulsory), anyone like an MBA (Time) preferably in Banking / Finance / Banking & Finance / Marketing / Forex / Credit from a University / Institute recognized by the Government of India or its Regulatory Bodies /PGDBA / PGDBM/CA /CFA/ICWA/ Financial Risk Manager. Probation period: 6 months

Service period (Bond): 2 years



Age limit(As on 30 September 2023) :

  •  Credit Officers in Scale II: 25-32 years
  •  Credit Officers in III:25-35 years

  • Credit Officers in Scale II: Rs. 48,170  – 69,810/-
  • Credit Officers in III: Rs. 63,840 –  78,230/-

Selection process:

  • The selection process includes an Online examination followed by an Interview
  • The candidates who clear the online exam shall be called for an interview in the proportion of 1:4 based on their ranking.
  • The allocation of marks for the online examination and Interview is 200 & 100, which will be converted into 75:25 (Online Examination: Interview).
  • The minimum cut-off marks for online examination, interview and the final selection shall be 50% for UR / EWS and 45% for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD, respectively.
  • Merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order based on combined scores obtained; in case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at the cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit
  • Online Test for 200 marks for 2 hours (There is no negative marking)
    • Professional Knowledge – 50 questions for 100 marks (60 minutes)
    • General Banking – 50 questions for 100 marks (60 minutes)

Application Fees:

  • UR/EWS/OBC- Rs.1000/- + (Rs.180 -GST)
  • SC/ST/PWD- Rs.100/- + (Rs.18 GST)
