Assam Rifles Recruitment 2024 – Assam Rifles recruitment through Compassionate Ground for Rifleman/Warrant Officer posts. There are a total of 44 vacancies to be filled for these posts. Assam Rifles: The oldest paramilitary force in India is Assam Rifles. It came into existence in the year of 1835. It functions as an internal security guard under the control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, India. It also participates in border security operations in the time of emergency. There will be 46 battalions with a total of 63,747 employees. Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan is the current general of Assam Rifles.

Detailed Eligibility – Assam Rifles Vacancy:

Educational Qualification:

Assam Rifles under the Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme:-

Rifleman / Riflewoman General Duty:

10th class pass from a recognized Board.

Warrant Officer Personal Assistant:

Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from recognized Board/University or equivalent.
Skill Test Norms on Computer:-
- Dictation. 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
- Transcription Time 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.

Warrant Officer Draughtsman:

10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board and three years Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from any recognized Polytechnic college or Institution. Trade Test Norms
Basic Knowledge of calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials and describing production methods step by step(including equipment and software types to be used).

Rifleman Lineman Field:

10th class pass from a recognised Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in Electrician trade from a recognised Institute. Trade Test Norms
Practical knowledge in AC & DC current, star/delta connections, electric fittings, rectification of faults in electric circuit, MCB, fuse, earthing sys, install & maintain wiring, control of lighting ~ systems, handling of generators, and transformers will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test Board.

Rifleman Recovery Veh Mech:

10th class pass and Industrial Training Insitute (ITI) certificate in Recovery Vehicle Mechanic or Recovery Vehicle Operator from a recognized Board or University. Trade Test Norms
Practical knowledge in the trade including inspecting and testing vehicles, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tie rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and body damage, cleaning, washing and painting of vehicle, maintain records by recording service and repairs, verify recovery veh serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems will be, assessed by the Trade(Skill) Test Bd.

Rifleman Plumber:

10th class pass from a recognised Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in Plumber trade from a recognised Institute Trade Test Norms
Practical knowledge in the trade incl install pipes and fixtures, sinks, toilets using hand and power tools, installs support pipes, eqpts and fixtures prior to installation, measurement, cut, thread and bend pipe, fitting and valves for installation using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, threading of pipes, locate leaks, sly wrench, hacksaw blades, pipe cutters and its uses will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test Bd

Rifleman X-Ray Assistant:

10+2 pass with diploma in Radiology from a recognised Board or University.
Practical knowledge of the trade incl medical imaging equipment, produce images of tissues, organs, bones and vessels using radiology equipment, handling of radiology eqpt, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), sonography, mammography computed tomography (CT) will be assessed by the Trade(Skill) Test Bd.

Note: Only one dependent family member of ASSAM RIFLES personnel who were Killed in action, died while in service , discharged from service on medical grounds and missing while in service are eligible to apply for compassionate ground appointment

Warrant Officer Personal Assistant: 18 – 25 years
Warrant Officer Draughtsman: 18 – 25 years

Selection Process of Assam Rifles Vacancy:

The selection of assamrifles.gov.in recruitment will be based on the following criteria
- Trade (Skil) Test will be conducted concerning all Tech & Trades before undergoing DME. The candidates wil be assessed as Pass or Fail in the trade test. Candidates applying for General Duty are not reqd to undergo any trade test
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME): Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines
The candidates who qualify in all aspects, i.e Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade test (Skill Test), Written Examination and Medical Examination Test will be placed in the Merit List depending upon the vacancies,
Merely qualifying in all tests does not guarantee the Final Selection into the Assam Rifles.
