Assam Police Recruitment 2020 – Assam Police invites online application from eligible candidates for filling up of144 posts of Forester-I, 11 posts of Stenographer Gr-III, 812 posts of Forest Guards, 35 posts of  Surveyor, 28 posts of Mahut, 1 post of Carpenter & 50 posts of Driver Under Forest Department, Assam. Candidates with the qualification of 8th/ 12th/ Any Degree are eligible to apply for this job. The selection process is based on the Written Test/ Physical Fitness Test/ Practical Test. Forester- I:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any Examination declared equivalent by the Government.

Stenographer Grade- III:

  • Graduate in any stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.

Forest Guard:

  • Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board/ Council.

Surveyor:

  • HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.

Mahut:

  • Class VIII or equivalent and must have a minimum of 3 (three) years experience in elephant upkeeping.

Carpenter:

  • HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have trade certificate from recognized Institution.

Driver:

  • HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have valid four wheeler driving license issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam.

Forester- I:

Height (Minimum)

  • Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC: Male – 162.56 cm, Female – 150 cm
  • ST(H)/ ST(P): Male – 153 cm, Female – 145 cm

Chest (Only for men)

  • Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H): Normal – 79 cm, Expanded – 84 cm

Forest Guard:

Height (Minimum)

  • Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC: Male – 163 cm, Female – 150 cm
  • ST(H)/ ST(P): Male – 153 cm, Female – 145 cm

Junior Assistant (APHQRS / District Level):

  • Candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University and must possess Diploma in Computer.

Stenographer (Grade- III) (District Level):

Assam Police Recruitment Selection Process:

Selection will be based on two phases of Test (i) Written Test and (ii) Practical Test.

Written Test:

  • The written test will be of 50 marks and will be completely OMR based.
  • There will be 50 questions and each question will be of 1 mark.
  • There will be negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates will use black ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet.
  • Duration of the test will be of 2 (two) hours.

The questions will be set in four parts:

  • Logical reasoning, aptitude
  • Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India
  • Comprehension
  • General Knowledge.

Junior Assistants:

Written Test – 50 marks
Practical Test – 50 marks
Total – 100 marks

Stenographer (Grade-III):

Written Test – 50 marks
Practical Test – 50 marks
Stenography Test – 50 marks
Total – 150 marks

Practical Test:

Practical Test for 50 marks both Junior Assistant and Stenographer (Grade-III) are as under:

Computer Based Spelling Test:

  • Candidates will have to correct the spelling from a given paragraph. There will be 40 incorrect words in the paragraph. Half (0.5) mark will be awarded for correcting a word.

Computer Based Typing Test for Junior Assistant:

  • Candidate will have to type a given paragraph containing 200 words. one tenth (0.1) mark for every correct word will be awarded.
