Project: Determine the mechanism of Autophagy-related gene-1 (Atg) in the metabolism of lipids
Period: up to:05.02.2027
Project Assistant:
Essential:
- First Class in M.Sc (any field of life sciences) OR
- First Class in B.Sc (any field of life sciences) with 3 years of experience in a recognized institution.
Desirable:
- Experience in Handling Drosophila.
- Experience in cell Biology techniques – Immunofluorescence techniques.
- Experience in Molecular Biology techniques RNA extraction, qPCR.
- PhD Degree and candidates with CSIR/DBT/ICMR Fellowship with

Educational Qualification:
Scientist – ‘B’ Biodiversity & Paleobiology (Fungi):
Essential:
- 1st class master’s degree in microbiology/biotechnology or equivalent qualification.
Desirable:
- PhD in any of the above subjects (topic must be related to Fungi/Mycology)
- Working experience in selective isolation, in vitro culturing, conservation, and describing fungal taxa (species/genera)
- Sound knowledge of the latest developments in systematics, classification, and taxonomy of fungi.
- Working Experience in DNA isolation, (from natural substrates, and pure culture) PCR, Sequencing, and multigene phylogeny of various group of fungi.
- Sound knowledge of modern tools like NGS, metagenome and bioinformatic analysis of fungi.
- Experience in the isolation of fungal secondary metabolites, enzyme assays, bioactivity testing, and handling analytical equipment like HPLC, GC- S,
MALDI-TOF, etc. - Publications in journals (with JCR impact factor) to support the research/desirable experience in the relevant area(s).

Age Relaxation:
