Job Title: Software Engineering Intern

Intern – OTC Engineering:

Candidates must possess a B.E/B.Tech qualifications

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

Basic understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot through coursework or academic projects.
Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Introductory experience with Python for scripting or automation is a plus.
Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON).
Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
Basic awareness of SDLC, Agile methodology, and engineering best practices.

Good to Have

Exposure to eCommerce platforms
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Be part of an Agile/SCRUM delivery team, supporting day-to-day development activities.
Assist senior developers in implementing technical tasks and user stories.
Support backend development using Java and Spring Boot, python including development of REST APIs.
Contribute to frontend development using Angular, HTML, CSS, and basic TypeScript.
Help write and execute unit tests and assist with integration testing.
Support debugging and defect fixing identified during development and testing phases.
Assist with integration of eCommerce applications with backend systems and external services.
Follow team-defined coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Maintain and update technical documentation for assigned tasks.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Summary of Position: Intern will work closely with senior developers, architects, and QA teams to support the development and enhancement. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale systems, Agile development practices, and modern web technologies, with a focus on building reliable, high-quality software components.
