ADA Recruitment 2023 notification announced for the posts of Project Assistants/Project Engineer on a Defined Limited Tenure  Basis. There is a total of about 153 vacancies available for the above-mentioned posts. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc/PhD is eligible to apply for the job. Criteria-1:

  • B.E / B.Tech in First Class from a recognized University PLUS a valid GATE Score OR B.E / B.Tech PLUS M.E / M.Tech both in First Class from a recognized University OR
  • B.E / B.Tech in First Class from a recognized University PLUS Two years postqualification experience in the relevant field/subject.

Criteria-2(a) Subject (for CS/IS/IT):

  • B.Sc PLUS M.Sc (Computer Science/ Info Science / Info Tech) both in First Class from a recognised University PLUS a valid and qualified GATE/NET score for JRF/ Lectureship (Asst.Professor) conducted by UGC/CSIR OR
  • Two years post-qualification experience in the relevant field/subject.

Criteria-2(b) Subject (for Electronics/E&C/Tele/E&E/E&I):

  • B.Sc PLUS M.Sc (Electronics /Telecomm) both in First Class from a recognised University PLUS a valid and qualified GATE/NET score for JRF/Lectureship (Assistant Professor) conducted by UGC/CSIR OR
  • Two years post-qualification experience in the relevant field/subject.

Age Limit: 28 Years

Age Relaxation: The age relaxation allowed for candidates belonging SC/ST/OBC as per rules

Stipend: 

  • For Criteria 1 & 2: Rs.37,000/- per month plus HRA as per rules. (Presently 27%). (Total initial Emoluments at current rates : Rs.46,990/-).
  • For Criteria 3: Rs.31,000/- per month plus HRA as per rules (Presently 27%). (Total initial Emoluments at current rates : Rs.39,370/-).

Age Limit ( As on 08 September 2023 ):

  • PE-1: 35 -40 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • Upto 10 years for PwD category candidates.
  • The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for serving Central Civilian Govt. employees working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres only if a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts.
  • The upper age limit is relaxable for Ex‐servicemen including Ex SSCOs/ECOs as per rules in vogue.

Selection Process:

Screening/Shortlisting:

  • Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the further selection process by adopting any one or more of the following methods:
  • On the basis of educational qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement duly supported by the Documentary evidence.
  • Relevance of experience as filled in application by candidates.
  • On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ), if more than one DQ is prescribed, on any one or all of the DQs.
  • By holding a Screening Committee Meeting consisting of Technical Experts from Industry and Academia.

Weightage for higher qualification is equated to research experience and given as :



  • Post Graduate Qualification in Engineering: 2 years of weightage.
  • Doctorate Degree in Engineering: 4 years of weightage.

Preliminary Online Interview:

  • Duration (10‐15 minutes)
  • Based on the performance in the Preliminary Online Interview, candidates will be shortlisted for the Final Personal Interview.

Final personal interview:

  • The candidates, shortlisted after the preliminary online interview, will be advised to appear for a final personal interview to be conducted as per rules at the venue and date, which will be intimated through the call letter.
  • The final selection of candidates will be purely on the basis of merit of marks scored by a candidate in the final personal interview only.
  • The candidates must score a minimum of 70% marks (i.e. 70 out of 100) for all Unreserved Vacancies and 60% marks (i.e. 60 out of 100) for all Reserved Vacancies in the Final Personal Interview for consideration for selection.
