SSB Recruitment 2023 – Sashastra Seema Bal, invited online applications from the citizens of India, Nepal, and Bhutan candidates to fill up 272 vacancies for General Central Service, Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, (Non-Ministerial) Combatised posts of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota for the year-2023 in Sashastra Seema Bal, Government Of India, Ministry of Home Affairs. Candidates who passed the 10th pass are eligible to apply for this vacancy. Eligible candidates can apply online on or before 19 November 2023. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.

Sashastra Seema Bal was established as Special Service Bureau in May 1963, in the aftermath of the Chinese aggression (in 1962). Sashastra Seema Bal came under aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Jan 2001). SSB was declared a Lead Intelligence Agency for Indo Nepal (June 2001) and assigned the Indo Nepal border. Later, SSB was also assigned Indo Bhutan border (March 2004). In March 2004, SSB received the President’s Colours (March 2004) in recognition of the keystone role in national security, since its inception.

SSB Recruitment 2023 – Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Constable(Sports Quota): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or institute

Sports Qualification: Players who have represented in any recognized International events representing the country. Or
Players represented a State/UT in the Senior or Junior-level National championship Or
Players represented a University in an Inter-University competition, Or
Players represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games for Schools. Or
Players were awarded the National Award in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Note: Sports qualification will be taken into consideration of the participation/achievements by the candidates in the past 02 years (cut-off date for determining the eligibility criteria is 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News) only.

Selection Process:

The selection process will be conducted following 02(two) stages:
Stage I for candidates with International participation/medal winners and National medal winners up to 3rd place,
Stage II the second stage of recruitment will be conducted for other eligible candidates, if vacancies remain unfilled after the selection of candidates having medals/participations in International and medals winners in national competitions,
Up to 3rd place.
The bio-metric examination, photograph and signature of the candidates who report with an Admit Card at the recruitment venue will be taken, which shall be followed by the conduct of different stages of the recruitment process.

Application Fees:

Unreserved, EWS and OBC category candidates are required to pay Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) only being fees (non-refundable) through online mode.
However, SC/ ST and female candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
