SBI SO Recruitment 2023: The State Bank of India has announced notification for Data Analysts and business Analysts under Specialist Cadre Officers on a Contractual Basis. There are 05 vacancies available for the posts mentioned above. Candidates with  B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/MS/MBA/PGDM can apply for the jobs. Educational Qualification:

Essentials: 

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics and Communication/MCA/M.Sc. in Statistics/MS in Data Science/equivalent degree in a relevant discipline in First Division (60%) from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Certification in Data Science is desirable if the primary qualification is not in Data Science.

Experience: 

  • Minimum three years in Bank/ PSU/ Corporate in Data Analytics, or Data Science, advanced statistics, SPSS/data interpretation using statistical software such as R/ Python/ SQL/ etc.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office is compulsory. Knowledge of Power BI/Power Query/Tables in advantageous XML in a+ point will be preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in Data analysis/interpretation using statistical software.
  • 2-3 years working experience in R & Python is preferred.

Specific Skills: 

  • Knowledge of R and Python languages.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to identify problems using data modelling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Understanding of storage architectures such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Lake houses
  • Understanding of Time series forecasting Batch/Real-Time analytics and model deployment.
  • Experience in Relational Databases or any NoSQL databases including Graph databases.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in data mining with knowledge in Applied Statistics and productive analysis.
  • Experience in Fraud Analysis.
  • Experience in Payment Systems Frauds/Cyber Security.

Job Profile:

  • Data analysis and framing/modifying Business Rules for Transaction Monitoring.
  • Test the efficacy of the business rules vis-à-vis disputed transactions.
  • Designing & implementing models for fine-tuning the existing Business Rules.
  • Perform analytical studies for each digital channel.
  • Perform comparative studies of digital product features and digital product vulnerabilities in the backdrop of
    disputed transactions/reported frauds.
  • Monthly study reports give analytical insights into the performance of the PRM system and transaction data.
  • Analyze the latest fraud trends and modus operandi adopted by fraudsters across the industry.
  • Identify system-related deficiencies and their upgradations to ensure the efficiency of the PRM Cell.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Provide quick actionable through data management using analytical tools.
  • Design fraud prevention mechanisms based on actual frauds/industry trends.
  • Designing, creating and implementing predictive models for analyzing trends from the historical, transactional,
    structured and unstructured data to identify risks and opportunities better.
  • Liaise and network with industry participants to keep abreast of best practices and to introduce the same into the PRM system.
  • Model development.

Duration:  The initial contract period is 3 Years, which may, at the discretion of the Bank, be renewed for one more year (the total contract period will not exceed four years).

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates will be based on Short-listing and Interactions/Interviews.

Shortlisting:

  • Mere fulfilling minimum qualifications and experience will not vest any right in the candidate to be called for an interview.
  • The shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, an adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted for interview.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Interview:

  • The interview will carry 100 marks.
  • The Bank will decide the qualifying marks in the interview. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Merit list:



  • Merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order based on scores obtained in interview only.
  • In case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at the cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit list.

Educational Qualification:

  • Any Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution, Minimum 60% of marks.

Mandatory:

  • MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing/Finance or both) or equivalent from a recognized university/college (Institutions recognized/approved by Govt. bodies/AICTE/UGC).

Experience: Minimum 0 to 2 years of experience required.

Specific Skills: Should be capable of Scenario Analysis, Business Projections, case studies, market scanning, analysis of competitor’s strengths and weaknesses in MNC/BFSI/Corporate, etc. Equipped with Excellent Analytical and Critical thinking skills, proficiency in MS Office suite, communication, and presentation skills.

Job Profile:

  • To bring market perspective and related insights to the table.
  •  Good understanding of the banking needs of various customer segments.
  •  Maintain up-to-date information on competitor’s offerings in the Banking domain.
  • Carry out time-to-time SWOT analysis of Bank offerings.
  • Strategize and innovate to maintain a competitive edge.

Duration: The initial contract period is 3 Years, renewable for a further period of 1 year at the sole discretion of the Bank.

Salary: 15.00 to 20.00 Lakhs p.a
