- A candidate must have possessed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture or
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture or

Selection Process:
- The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Soil Conservation Officer will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Competitive Recruitment Examination (Written Test- MCQ Pattern & Interview).
- The Written Test shall comprise of two papers namely Paper – I & Paper -II together carrying 200 marks i.e. 100 marks for each paper which shall be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Pattern.
- Candidates may choose any one of the subject in which they want to appear for the written test (i.e) Agriculture or agricultural engineering or forestry or horticulture.
- The number of questions in cach paper shall be 100, cach carrying one mark.
- The duration of examination shall be one and half hour for each paper.
- The Commission will short-list the candidates to be called for Interview/ Viva-Voce test on the basis of marks obtained in the written test in the following manner:
- Where the number of vacancies is upto 02 (two), the number of candidates to be called for Interview shall be 05 (five).
- Where the number of vacancies exceeds 02 (two), the number of candidates to be called for Interview shall be twice the number of vacancies.
- The Total marks for Interview/ Viva Voce Test shall be 25.

Selection Process for OPSC Recruitment 2024:
- The selection process will be based on a written test.
- The Commission shall prepare a list of candidates in order of merit based on written test
Written Test:
- The written test shall be a total of 200 marks.
- The total No. Of questions shall be 200 and will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern;
- Each question shall carry one mark.
- There shall be negative markings for wrong answers. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the marks awarded for correct answers.
- The Commission shall decide the qualifying marks in the written examination.
- Duration of Examination shall be 3 hours;

- The candidates who qualify the preliminary examination shall be called for to appear the main examination.
- The qualifying marks fixed by the Commission in the Main examination for UR/SEBC/SC/ST/PWD category is thirty percent (30%). The candidates who qualify the Main examination shall be called to appear the Viva Voce Test.
