Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2023 – Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released the Job notification for the post of Lower Division Assistant/Forest Rangers & Heads of Forest Force. There are 132 vacancies to be filled for this post. The educational qualification of the candidates must be B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/Graduate. Lower Division Assistant in the Meghalaya Secretariat:

Graduate in any stream from a University recognized by the Government or any Examination declared equivalent thereto.

Age Limit ( As on 1st January 2023): 18 – 32 Years

Direct Recruitment to Group C & D Posts – Relaxable by 10 years (15 years for STs/SCs)
Direct Recruitment to Group A & B Posts where recruitment is made other than through open competitive examination – Relaxable by 5 years (10 years for STs/SCs)

Selection Process for Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2023 :

The selection process includes the Screening Test and Personal Interview.
Screening Test consisting of the following subjects:
- General English – 150 Marks
- General Awareness & Aptitude – 150 Marks
Personal Interview: Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test shall be eligible for the personal Interview. The number of candidates who will be called for the Personal Interview will be as per the decision made by the Commission from time to time.

Rs. 320 /-
Rs.160/- for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.
For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs), the Application Fee is exempted.

Selection Process for Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2023 :

The selection process includes the Physical Endurance Test/Preliminary Screening Test/Written Examination/Personal Interview.
Physical Endurance Test: Eligible candidates are required to pass a Physical Endurance Test consisting of a Walking Test of 25 kms for male and 16 kms for female in 4(four) hours followed by a Medical Examination by the District Health & Medical Officer, Shillong and Tura. The
Preliminary Screening Test: General English — 100 marks, General Knowledge & Aptitude — 100 marks, Arithmetic – 100 marks.
Written Examination(mains): The Written Examination will consist of:-
- Compulsory Subject:-
- General Knowledge – 100 marks
- English (including essay and précis writing) – 100 marks.
- Optional Subjects — 200 marks (each).
Personal Interview: The number of candidates who will be called for the Personal Interview will be as per the decision made by the Commission from time to time.
