Meghalaya PSC Jobs – Detailed Eligibility
Educational Qualification :
Inspector of Legal Metrology in the Office of the Controller of Legal Metrology:
- B.Sc in Physics as one of the subjects OR B.E/B.Tech of any discipline
- Must be able to speak one of the languages of the State.
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
Junior Engineer Grade -I (Civil) under the following departments:
- Minimum 3(Three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a government-recognised institution
- Departments:
- Water Resources Department
- Sericulture & Weaving, Department of Textiles
- Housing Department
- Community & Rural Development Department
- Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department
- P.H.E Department
Draughtsman/Surveyor Grade-II under the Directorate of Soil & Water Conservation:
- Diploma holder in Civil Engineering/Draughtsman/Surveyor from any recognised institution.
- Must undergo the physical and medical test as prescribed by the Appointing Authority
Accounts Assistant under the Directorate of Community and Rural Development: H.S.S.L.C or equivalent examination from any recognised Board/University.
Age Limit ( As on 01 January 2025): 18 – 32 Years
Age Relaxation :
- The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST.
- Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for entry into Government Service for Persons with Disabilities (PWDS) as per Government notification
- No age bar in respect of a regular Government employee who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.

Selection Process for Meghalaya PSC Recruitment 2025:
- The Commission shall make the final selection/recommendation of suitable candidates against the vacancies notified in this Advertisement through the following processes.
For the post of Inspector of Legal Metrology in the Office of the Controller of Legal Metrology:
- The screening test consists of the following subjects using the MCQ pattern.
- General English: 100 marks
- General Studies & Aptitude: 100 marks
- Mathematics: 100 marks
- Total: 300 marks
For post of Junior Engineer Grade -I (Civil) under the following departments.
- The screening test consists of the following subjects using the MCQ pattern.
- General English: 50 marks
- General Knowledge: 50 marks
- Civil Engineering (Diploma Level): 200 marks
- Total: 300 marks
For post of Draughtsman Grade-II/Surveyor Grade-II under the Directorate of Soil & Water Conservation.
- Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.
- General English: 100 marks
- Civil Engineering (Diploma Level): 200 marks
- Total: 300 marks
For post of Accounts Assistant under the Directorate of Community and Rural Development.
- Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.

Personal Interview:
- Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test/ Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview.
