Educational Qualification:
Territorial Army Officers:
- Graduate from any recognized university.
- Physical Standards: A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.
- Employment: Gainfully Employed.
- Note: Serving members of the Regular Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Police/GREF/ Para Military and like forces are not eligible
Training: Six months Pre-Commission Training as provided in TA Rule 20A amended vide SRO 65 dt 29 Apr 2023. (Candidates shall be commissioned in TA only on successful completion of the said PreCommission Training
Age Limit(As on 21 November 2023): 18 to 42 years

- Lieutenan: Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/-
- Captain: Rs. 61,300-1,93,900/-

Selection Process:
- The selection process will be based on the Online Entrance Exam
- The duration of the exam is Maximum time is 02 hours and it is a Computer based test (CBT)
- The standard of the papers in Elementary Mathematics will be of Matriculation level. The standard of papers in other subjects will
approximately be such as maybe expected of a graduate of an Indian university. - For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate,one third (0.33%) marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty
- Candidates whose application forms are found correct and declared successful in the online entrance exam will be detailed for intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board
- Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Service Selection Boards
- All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres.
- Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to these soundstage/remaining tests and all those who fail to pass stage one, will be returned
- The male and female candidates will be placed in separate order of merit on the basis of the total marks secured by them in the online entrance examination and in the SSB tests.
- The admit card will be made available online for being downloaded by the candidate.
- The date/time of examination and also the name and address of examination centre will be sent to the candidates through email & SMS alert

Educational Qualification:
Law Graduates (Unmarried Men & Women):
- Educational Qualification Minimum 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10 plus 2) examination.
- In addition, CLAT PG 2023 Score is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM qualified and LLM appearing candidates) who apply for courses starting in a particular year.
- The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
Period of Probation: An officer will be on probation for a period of six months from the date he/she receives his/her commission. If he/she is reported on within the
probationary period as unsuitable to retain his/her commission, his/her services may be terminated any time whether before or after the expiry of the probationary period
Training: The duration of training is 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

Selection Process:
- Short listing of Applications:
- After shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidates via their email.
- After the allotment of the Selection Centre, firm SSB dates will be allotted to the candidates.
- Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (PB)
- Call Up letters for SSB interviews will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only.
- Candidates will be put through a stage selection procedure.
- Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II.
- This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit
- The duration of SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available at the official website of Directorate General of Recruiting
- Merit List: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB interview
