Educational Qualification:
Technical Officer(Fire Safety):
- M. Tech/M. E Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University! Institute with two years relevant experience in Pay Level – 7. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree (four years) in Fire & Safety Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with five years relevant experience in Pay Level – 7.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent, is a must.
- Experience: Experience in Fire Fighting operations & system maintenance, handling safety—related jobs like incident/accident reporting/ investigation analysis, safety inspection, job safety analysis;
- Fire & safety in high rise buildings
Desirable Experience:
- Relevant Experience in Central/State Govt. organizations/ Industries of Repute will be an added advantage; and/or
- Qualification and experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHAS) will be an added advantage and weightage; and/or A certification in computer course for a minimum of three months OR
- Information Technology or related paper as one of the subjects at graduation level or, subsequently, should possess working knowledge on the computer and should be reasonably well versed in MS Word, PPT, Excel etc.;
- Experience in handling construction safety; and should know safety rules/ manual.
Age Limit: 40 years
Age Relaxation:
- In the case of employee of this Institute, who have served in this Institute for at least three years on a regular post, the maximum age limit is 50 years.
- For candidates who have served the Central/State Government, Central/State Autonomous Bodies, Central other IITS/NITS/CFTIs etc. for at least three years on a regular post, the maximum age limit may be relaxed by 5 years. (No age relaxation for the employees from private organizations shall be admissible under this clause.)
- Age relaxations per Gol norms shall also be admissible to the regular employees of Central/State Governments, including ex-servicemen, Divyang candidates, etc.

Selection Process of IIT ISM Dhanbad Careers:
- A preliminary shortlisting of the candidates shall be made based on essential qualifications and experience mentioned in the advertisement.
- The final selection will be based on the performance of the shortlisted candidates in the Presentation and Interview before the Selection Committee.
- The institute reserves its right to decide the method of shortlisting the candidates for Presentation & Interview in case many applications are received.

- Pursuing undergraduate studies (B.E or B.Tech.) in Mechanical / Applied Mechanics/Computer Science / Mathematics and Computing / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of coding languages, such as Matlab and Python, any 3D Design software, and electronic sensors is required.
Job Description: The candidate will investigate numerical and experimental investigations on the condition monitoring of wind turbines.
Tenure: The position is purely temporary and for a maximum period of one month. The tenure of the project, for a period of three years (up to March 2027).
