Project Title:
- Project Code – 31424720: “Fermi-edge singularities and magnetic proximity effects in Van der Waals heterostructures” funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA)
- Project Code – 32523660: “Towards exciton-based valleytronic technologies using 2D semiconductor/magnet heterostructures: high-performance magneto-optics and magneto-ellipsometry investigations” funded by the Scheme for Transformational and Advanced Research in Sciences (STARS) under the Ministry of Education
Research Associate:
- Essential: Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics with specialization in Magnetism and/or Semiconductors research
- Preference: Candidates with a Ph.D. in optical or magneto-optical spectroscopy of semiconductors/magnets/2D materials will be preferred.
- Tenure: Initially for one year, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Project Title: Understanding and modelling the interactions between Debris and glacier Ice in a changing ClimatE (D-ICE) funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- Essential: Master’s degree / B. Tech in Earth Science, Physics or equivalent qualification with relevant specialization with valid CSIR-NET/GATE/DBT – JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
- Desirable: Candidates with a good background in physics, strong computer programming skills, knowledge of essential GIS tools, and prior experience in numerical simulation and glaciological research will be preferred.
- Tenure: Initially for a period of six months, extendable for further periods subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project
Age Limit (As on 15 June 2024): 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation commensurate with the educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualifications and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
Salary: Rs. 37,000/- + 24% HRA
