Educational Qualification:

Library Professional Assistant: A master’s degree in library & information science (MLISc) (60% or above) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Vikram Sarabhai Library at IIMA requires a Library Professional Assistant to work in any of the Following domains:

Procurement of Learning materials (print and electronic).
User orientation and User Awareness.
Reference and circulation service.

Duration of IIM Ahmedabad careers: This is a Tenure-based Scaled Contract for a fixed term of three years, which may be extended further as required.

Research Associate (RA)(Surveys):

Applicant must have a Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Econometrics, or related fields (from top-tier institutions) with outstanding grades.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience after graduation will also be considered.
Consideration will also be given to candidates with a Master’s or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science with some prior relevant experience.
Applicants must have strong quantitative skills and sound knowledge of data handling and analysis.
Experience and knowledge of various survey programming software (e.g., Surveymonkey, SawTooth) is desirable.
Applicants must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and should be able to work in a team environment.
Excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Experience: Should have experience working on large data sets – cleaning, data integrity checks, data scraping and analysis.
Knowledge and understanding of national and state level sources of data and information encompassing a wide range of areas.
Excellent writing and data presentation skills; detailed report writing skills.Experience in collecting and compiling data from various sources (primary or secondary),
preparing analytical reports and presentations, and helping the team on a range of research related activities.
An ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of research methods and some knowledge of survey methods and survey design. Prior experience with conducting surveys is desirable but not necessary.

Data Scientist:

Applicant must have a minimum Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a subject closely related to the project – Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science, or related fields (from toptier institutions) with outstanding grades.
Applicants must have strong survey and quantitative analysis skills and sound knowledge of data and statistical methods. Proficient in programming languages and statistical software such as R, Python, STATA, etc.
Applicant must have experience of analysing and organizing large datasets and proficiency in at least one of the database management tools such as Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle DBMS, etc.
Applicant should be able to present a narrative through visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Microsoft tools.
Experience of working with web-based computing tools such as AWS and Google Cloud is desirable.
Expertise in machine learning and deep learning to be able to collate and synthesize data while also being able to identify any anomalies is desirable.
Applicants must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and should be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Duration: This is a full-time position and will be initially offered for a period of 16 months. A subsequent long-term extension would be considered depending on the performance of the employee.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
