CISF Recruitment 2023 – Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Job notification announced for the post of Head Constable(Sports Quota). Totally 215 vacancies are available in CISF Recruitment. About CISF: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is the Central Armed Police Force in India and its established from 15 June 1983. At present, CISF has more than 1,50,000 Active Personnel.CISF is organised and under control of the Ministry of Home Affairs and it’s under the Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968.CISF unique organisation in paramilitary forces for India, which works for seaways, airways and some of the major installations in India.CISF plays a major role in Disaster Management, for Disaster Management course the personnel are trained from NISA, Hyderabad. There are ranking structure in CISF like as Police Ranks they are Director-General, Additional Director General, Inspector General (IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Commandant (Comdt), Deputy Commandant (Dy Comdt), Assistant Commandant (Asst Comdt).CISF also protects and cover the Airport Security, Security for Delhi Metro, Fire Wing(providing protection, safety, and security to Industrial undertaking/installations), Special Security Group-SSG (security cover to persons nominated by the Home Ministry)

CISF is the Constitution of Force and it has three branches Executive Branch, Ministerial Branch, Fire Service Branches. Each branch of the CISF having Supervisory Officers and Enrolled Members. The Supervisory Officers are Director-General, Additional Director General, Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General, Director General, Additional Director General, Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General, Deputy Commandant, Assistant Commandant etc.

The Enrolled Members CISF are Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Head Constable, Constables and Followers( Like Cook, Sweeper Etc). Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: 

Head Constable-General Duty(Sports Quota):

  • 12th pass from a recognised educational Institution with credit of representing State / National / International in games, Sports and Athletics.
  • Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Government of India notifications declaring that such qualification is equivalent to 12th class pass for service under Central Government).

Participation in Sports events:

  • Individual Event:
    • Should have represented the country as a member of Senior/Junior International tournament Or
    • Should have represented a State or equivalent unit, in National Games/ National Championship in Senior /Junior level Or
    • Any medal in all India Inter University Championship Or
    • Gold Medal in National School Games/Championship.
  • Team Event:
    • Should have represented the country as a member of Senior/Junior International tournament Or
    • Should have represented in State team or equivalent unit, in National Games/Championship in Senior/Junior level Or
    • Member of medal winning team in All India Inter- University Championship Or
    • Gold Medal in National School Games/ Championship.
    • Note: The person should have been the playing member of the team.

Note: Only those meritorious Sportsmen/Sportswomen who fulfil the above eligibility criteria and have participated in the relevant games/championships during the period from 01/01/2021 to 28/11/2023 will be eligible for applying for the post.

Age Relaxation:

  • Scheduled Caste / Tribe – Upto 5 years in upper age limit.
  • Other Backward Class – Upto 3 years in upper age limit.

Selection Process:

  • The recruitment process will consist of Trial Test, Proficiency Test, Physical Standard Test (PST), Documentation and Medical Examination.
  • The salient features of the recruitment are as under:-
  • The recruitment shall have following two stages:-
  • 1st stage:
    • Trial Test
    • Proficiency Test
    • Physical Standard Test (PST) & Documentation
  • 2nd stage – Medical Examination

Trial Test: Candidates who do not secure minimum cut off marks in Trial Test will be eliminated from the recruitment process

Proficiency Test:

  • Proficiency Test of 40 marks in the sports event to which he/she has applied.
  • The minimum cut off marks in Proficiency Test for all events will be 20 marks, to be secured by candidates.

Physical Standered Test(PST):

  • Candidates who qualify in the Trial & Proficiency Test will undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST).
  • Candidates will be measured for height, chest and weight by the Board of Officers.

Documentation: Candidates who qualify in Trial Test, Proficiency Test & Physical Standard Test (PET) will undergo Documentation.

Final Merit List: After completion of Documentation, Merit List will be drawn strictly according to marks taking into consideration the performance of the candidates during the course of Proficiency Test and the marks (out of 10 marks) accorded to the candidate having meritorious certificate/achievement in the respective sports events.

Medical Examination:

  • The candidates equal to the number of vacancies in each discipline/event ill be called for Detailed Medical Examination.
  • The selected candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards to assess their physical and medical fitness.

Note: Trial Test / Proficiency Test / Physical Standard Test (PST) and Documentation will be conducted at various centres.

Application Fee:

  • Rs.100/- from UR, OBC and EWS candidates will be charged.
  • Female candidates and those candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are exempted from paying application fees.
