Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Assam Rifles has announced an online job notification to recruit Group B & C Technical and Tradesmen. There are a total of 161 vacancies to be filled for these posts. Interested candidates eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before the last date. The education qualification should be a 10th/12th/Diploma/Bachelors. The detailed eligibility and selection process are given below in detail.
Assam Rifles: The oldest paramilitary force in India is Assam Rifles. It came into existence in the year of 1835. It functions as an internal security guard under the control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, India. It also participates in border security operations in the time of emergency. There will be 46 battalions with a total of 63,747 employees. Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan is the current general of Assam Rifles.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification( 1 August 2023):
Personal Assistant:
- Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent. (b)
- Dictation: 10 min @ 80 wpm; Transcription: 50 min in English and 65 min in Hindi.
Religious Teacher:
- Graduation with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi (For Male candidates only)
Lineman Field:
- 10th class from a recognised Board with an Industrial Training institute certificate in Electrician trade from a recognised institute (For Male candidates only)
Recovery vehicle Mechanic:
- 10th class pass and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in Recovery Vehicle Mechanic or Recovery Vehicle Operator from a recognized Board or University
Bridge & Road:
- Matric or equivalent from a recognised Board or University
- Diploma in civil engineering from a recognised institution for Bridge and Road
Electrical & Mechanical:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute (For Male candidates only)
Draughtsman:
- 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board and a 3 year diploma in Architectural Assistantship from any recognized Polytechnic College or Institution(For Male candidates only)
Plumber:
- 10th class pass from a recognised Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in Plumber trade from a recognised Institute(For Male candidates only)
Surveyor ITI: (For Male candidates only)
- 10th class pass from a recognised Board and Industrial Training Institute certificate in Surveyor trade from a recognised Institute. (For Male candidates only)
X-Ray Assistant:
- 10+2 pass with a Diploma in Radiology from a recognised Board or University. (For Male candidates only)

Selection Process:
- The selection will be based on the following criteria
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): PET will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in the initial verification of the documents. The parameters for PET are as follows: – (a) All India except Ladakh Region (i) For Male Candidates – 05 km run to qualify within 24 minutes. (ii) For Female Candidates – 1.6 km run to qualify within 8.30 minutes. Ladakh Region (i)For Male Candidates – 1.6 meter Km run to qualify within 7.00 minutes. (ii) For Female Candidates – 800 meters run to qualify within 5.00 by the minutes. Trade Test (Skill Test).
- Trade (Skill) Test: Trade (Skill) Test for technical & tradesmen personnel will be conducted after the completion of PET/PST in continuation. No marks will be awarded for the trade (skill) test. The candidates declared to pass in the trade (skill) test will only be allowed to appear in the Written Test.
- Written Test: The question paper of the written test will comprise of 100 marks. The minimum pass marks for General/EWS candidates is 35% and 33% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidates who are successful in the PET/PST/Documentation/ Trade (Skill)test/Written test will be short-listed to the next stage i.e Detailed Medical Examination (DME) on the basis of their merit in the Written test will be about four times of the number of vacancies.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME): Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines
- The candidates who qualify in all aspects, i.e Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade test (Skill Test), Written Examination and Medical Examination Test will be placed in the Merit List depending upon the vacancies,
- Merely qualifying in all tests does not guarantee the Final Selection into the Assam Rifles.

- Group C posts (i.e except Religious Teacher and Bridge & Road posts) application fee is Rs. 100/-
